To be honest i'd consider just staying at the hotels and forgetting the park.

We don't live far (few miles) and despite having a 2 year old and Merlin passes for us and the Grandparents, we've only bothered taking her 4 times between us. Three of the four times the queues were ridiculous, we are talking about an hour to get some food, let alone get on a ride. The one time it was relatively less busy (but still busy) they didn't bother opening half the rides.

On a general note, we've been really disappointed with the passes. We've had them in the past, when family visited they worked out reasonable value for sight seeing. Eventually we stopped getting them as everyone had seen the sites they cover enough times, but this year we got them as the little one was coming to the age where she'd start enjoying the parks/london eye/etc.

Have to say, comparing to the past, prices have gone up significantly but what you get in return has deteriorated. You need premium for Fast Track, Special days, Summer hols in London, parking ,etc. The parks don't look like they've had a make over in years. And one of the advantages (as we live close to the parks) was you could pop in off peak on a whim to avoid the queues. But recent experience (including the other parks) has been they only operate "properly" when its wall to wall busy Don't think we'll be getting the passes again. The parks are closed half the year to begin with, if they are effectively going to run them half closed for much of the rest of the time (other then the odd weekend or school hols) whats the point in an annual pass!

does anyone know if I am able to use Tesco Clubcard points with this deal?
What's with this new fad of staying in a shod hotel and going back again the next day only to endure all that queuing and extortionate food pricing again!
