It's 26 miles from chessington, about 45 mins drive....

LEGOLAND Windsor is on the B3022 Windsor/Ascot road. Chessington World of Adventures is situated 12 miles from London on the A243, just 2 miles from the A3 and M25 (junction 9 or 10).

we went recently, didn't stay at the hotel so couldn't comment but the park itself was a massive disappointment!!!!!!. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. it was a real waste of money. rides were really catered for upto 7 year olds and the place was really outdated. Before anyone gets offended this is just my opinion.

That's the type of thing I do xx

Agree with SunTzu - it's definitely a 45 min (or more at peak times) drive between legoland and chessington.

Actually just googled and it says 27.8 miles

Conversely if the park was open and included in this deal and your kids are below 7 it would be a stonking deal.... but it isn't. We went a few weeks ago with hilton basingstoke and 2 days legoland entry included for something like £170 for family of four. Kids loved it as much as I enjoyed the hot doughnuts. Admittedly there are bits which are still Windsor Safari Park but there's enough fun to be had over 2 days for sure.

Been to the park twice though and loved it. Mixed reports on the hotel but amazing price - it'd be weird though - staying at Legoland hotel, overlooking the park but the park being closed. I don't think I could prepare my kids enough for that.

I think Harry Potter Studio Tours is nearby too

Comes up as over 200 for me

I could just imagine my son's face if we went all the way to legoland, stayed in the hotel and then told him that the park was closed... Ha. Priceless.

Not going to be a good deal for the majority of people. For prices as low as this you are looking at Term Time (Mon or Tues). If your children are below school age this is a good deal for you, if not you are more likely to be paying £200-250. Shame.

It took me quite a while to find it when I was told about the offer.

When you go to the booking page there is a drop down box at the start of the search change it to "Splash and Stay" and the lower prices come up on the dates on the list

tanked

I totally agree, my son would be beyond disappointed if we went all the way to legoland, stayed in the hotel etc and didn't go to legoland!! That could be really disappointing for younger kids. Still voted hot as its a good deal for the money, but sadly not for me xx

Went to Chessigton 2 weeks ago in a Saturday and Legoland on the Sunday (stayed in travelodge nr Heathrow )
Chessington looking very tired and to be honest - if yr kids (mine are 9&6) are young enough to stay in a themed hotel at Legoland - Chessigton is too old for them as there are limited rides for them (and some of the younger rides/mono rail thing ) were not in operation !
Chessigton was a big disappointment - especially after setting off early from Manchester to get there for opening time !

We are Merlin pass holders so go to these parks all the time. I'd say no more than 20-25 mins to get from one to the other. Even if your not going to the theme part of lego land the hotel is still really quirky and the kids love it!

Thanks for the info MrsWarren - how lucky you are having passes and visiting all those great places

Sorry but sometimes I have to sit on my hands but this time I have to say, If my children showed disappointment on being taken on a trip like this I don't think I would take them anywhere again. Call me harsh but whilst they are incredibly lucky getting to go on trips I pick up at great prices, I still want them to appreciate it.

If my kids were ungrateful they'd not go anywhere again but in this case staying at Legoland and looking at Legoland without being able to go in is like sticking me in Selfridges shoe room with a gift voucher then telling me I can't have anything. It's a great deal and I'd be tempted if someone wanted to take my teenager for the weekend so the younger two could go. The Halloween Legoland looks great too.

this deal reminds me of an episode of The Simpsons where Comic Book Guy says "This is a rare photograph of Sean Connery signed by Roger Moore".

The deal makes about as much sense.

I am really struggling to see the difficulty people are having comprehending this deal?

It is a stay in the Legoland Resort Hotel for £90 for a 4 people!! It also includes a qwerky build your own breakfast there are Lots of interactive lego features and stuff at the hotel and entry into the splash park and as an added bonus you also get FREE entry into Chessington.

I think this is an awesome deal for families particularly with small children even without going to Chessington.

If you go for a Monday night stay then it looks like the legoland park is still open on Mondays...

Family of 5 showing as £95, cracking deal. Hot

Sounds a bit mean to me - kids here is the LEGOLAND but you can't go there! Lol

Voted hot as usually hotel price is a lot

Unless they've been to Lego land before, I'm sure most young kids won't know that the hotel and splash park I'd not Lego land itself.

I think this is brilliant I have always wanted to take the little one to the actual hotel but could not justify the prices. My brother works for the Merlin group, so going to the park is not an issue, we've been loads of times, but could not stay at the hotel on discount. If the hotel will have a sort of Halloween theme in October and the pool too, we'd much prefer this over the park anyway. Fantastic deal Stacey X)
And don't forget Quidco

LEGOLAND is the place I picked my Premium Merlin Pass (had no privilege packs) up prior to further day visit in London. Pass has and will be great value BUT I will never return to LEGOLAND - may do hotel as a hugely discounted price one day. What a huge disappointment! Tatty, indeed of more than a paint job! I expected rides and other things (not everything) to be modelled in Lego. The q's were horrendous and it was packed, the attractions were POOR for a child aged 7. Seven year old that likes rollercoasters at Blackpool.

I am guessing the splash bit more than hints that there is a swimming pool and I AM guessing water slides e.t.c so therefore your son wouldn't be disappointed. I was very disappointed in LEGOLAND though and wouldn't advise anyone to go and that includes with buy one get one free entry tickets.

It is a naff place though! So they are entitled to say "Mummy Daddy, I really like it but Blackpool & Alton Towers are much better." Loved seeing her face when in London and glad we got the Merlin Passes.

Nonsense! ace place for Lego fans....
'I didn't expect everything to be Lego' shhesh....WTF did you expect?? Didn't you review or even have a casual Google before going. Entitled to your opinion but mine, of you, is you're a fool.

I took her comment to mean that there was not enough lego, not that there was too much.

My 6 year old enjoyed it when he went but I really didn't think that lego was incorporated enough. It was just bits of lego dotted around with fairly poor or average rides. I expected alot better lego themed rides myself. The best bit is the driving school, everything else could have been alot better.

Good deal I don't think I would do the park again really but if I can get the time off work might give the hotel a shot.
