This deal is certainly opposite to cold

Banned

Nothing new as they always have had it

Why not 2 paracetamol in a hot lemon drink with a spoonful of honey if you want

My husband suffers from man flu all the time lol

Not to be sniffed at for a pound.

And a shot of brandy

Man Flu is the worst type

Just be aware that it's only 1 pack so 8 capsules (i think) not like the usual sized packs from chemists or supermarkets. Still great value, heat from me

Just read the description properly! Haha my bad :P

I'm all up for brandy at 7am on Saturday! Makes up for my lack of booze on NYE!

Always a quid.

Yep, this and a really nice hot curry seems to work, or maybe it was drinking all that wine, scotch, ginger wine, and Stella, or all those cold cure products? Don't know, all I do know is that when I woke up 3 days later the Man Flu had gone, now just need a cure for the side effect hangover. ;-)

Of course a bit of night nurse always helps! ...no, not the chemist, I was thinking more Ann Summers.

Anyway, you do whatever it takes to get you through, so if you think these'll help, you can't go wrong for a pound, have some heat.

Some pretty sobering stuff there :-/

Thanks for the link, interesting reading.

Just be warned everyone, Man Flu is serious. Look it must be true there is a website

manflu.info/ind…htm

They do always stock this stuff but it's much better than getting ripped off elsewhere.

I agree with others. Two paracetamol (you can get a pack of 16 for 19p) and a spoonful of honey does the trick just the same. Buying these branded packs is a waste of money.

Just to save anyone else reading this crap here's some quotes

"In high doses, caffeine is addictive" (just how much lemsip are you taking?)
"The same substance is commonly found in shampoos". So is water, commonly used technique to scare people, see dhmo.org/ for details)
"Widely used but poorly studied in respect of its cancer-causing..." How do you know it causes cancer if it's been poorly studied?

If you want a chuckle have a look at this, how many articles have the word cancer in them.

Much cheaper than other high street chemists or supermarkets. Heat added.

or just drink kombucha everyday and youll never have the flu again.

it tried attacking me last week and failed miserably...just had a runny nose for a day.

chemicals...pft.

its always £1 in poundland

They're nearly always in stock at Poundland and same price in Savers, Poundworld and pretty sure (but not positive) Home Bargains

Such a great deal, tempted to cycle into town and stock up, HEAT!

Fair enough if you want the sachets to make the drinks, probably a decent price.

What's the point buying the branded capsules though, even if they are 'only' £1?
8 Lemsip capsules each containing 500mg paracetamol, 6.1mg Phenylephrine hydrochloride and 25mg caffiene.
Tesco Cold Relief capsules are 16 for 65p, as an example. Exactly the same amounts of active ingredients.

£1.69 in Home Bargains, got some yesterday!

Can't believe how supermarkets can justify charging what they do when you can get them for a £1.00. Well done Poundland, keeping us all up and about during our cold and flu's!!

It's always been a £1 in pound shop

Thanks for that, as I said, wasn't sure

Picked up my last box in Savers

peoples walking all around naked looks like they cannot buy any clothes ,catches flu,or other illness and goes to poundland for these poisons... maybe better firstly dress up properly, not like in spain or africa..

How bizarre that this deal, a poundland/poundworld/b&m permanent fixture, gets voted so hot when so much else is voted cold. And there's half the amount in this as in supermarket boxes of the same stuff.

Oh poor you, hope you get well soon

I'M not surprised if you use the Lemsip suppressants paracetamol 8 per day fro as long as required (19p) lemon (50p) honey (99p) hot water (free) bedrest for one week, goodbye cold !

I always usually buy the Tesco Max Cold & Flu Relief 16-capsule pack that was deliberately coloured green and red like this Lemsip pack. It seems like the Tesco Max version is "currently unavailable", but the 65p "non-max" version is probably very similar. Actually, considering they give you an expiry date well over 2 years in the future, it could be worth buying a couple of packs (the max they will sell you in one visit/order) at that 65p price.
