Been having a look for a budget turntable for my old vinyls and this L-85 kept coming up. Not a bad review from What Hi-Fi . Prices I've found average between £110-£120.

I know nothing about turntables except there are far superior ones out there but this is purely for those on a budget.

They also have in Sainsburys - noticed yesterday - it is showing online at £70 but I thought it was less than that in store but don't know anything about them so can't comment on quality etc.

The Sainsbury's one didn't have a great review whereas this Lenco one had a much better review, depends what you're looking for I suppose

I got rid of all my vinyl and deck 2 decades ago because it was obsolete crap. Now it seems the deck and arm would make 600 quid on ebay. When it comes to audio fool seems to be the norm.

When are other crappy distorted fragile forms of audio recoding going to make a come back - like cassettes and 8 tracks?

I think Cassettes are making a bit of a comeback i have heard of labels only releasing on cassette and there are artists and indie labels doing cassette releases, Tapes must be the one format i wouldn't go back to or invest in i've had too may cassette tapes chewed up, snapped and ruined in my time
