Bought this tablet yesterday instore at Tesco, and paid £140, so this is a cracking deal, and for the money, a cracking tablet.

Currently going for £149 @Amazon and £149.99 at Argos.

Lollipop 5.01 out of the box (not the stated Kitkat), 2GB ram, 1920x1200 display and a fat 7000mAh battery make this a very juicy deal...

The tablet also runs a pretty clean version of Lollipop which is great - no dodgy interface tweaks for the sake of tweaking. I haven't had a chance to look into the bundled apps but there are only a few, one of which I've uninstalled already (a game) but can't say yet whether the others uninstall. Hardly a big deal though imo...

Too good a price so Ive bought one. Reviews seem to be really good and its a really high HD screen on this model so I hope its nice and fast. Thanks OP.
Best tablet for the money by far. Good find op.
Been weighing up tablets recently, between this and the almost identically specc'd Yoga 2. I wanted Full HD and atleast 2GB of RAM. This got great reviews, but I just felt at 140 this was a touch too high especially considering the branding.

Glad I waited, purchased rather happily. This spec for this price, with a year's warranty from Tesco. Bargain!
Cheers OP! Heat added

*EDIT*
And are Tesco having a laugh with that £30 Tablet case?

Have only had it for a day and haven't really put it through its paces but it seems snappy enough to me..I dare say it won't be a strong contender for gaming aside from the lighter titles, but for browsing and emails, it should be more than capable. In answer to your question about Lollipop - I did read somewhere that quite a few owners were having problems with Lollipop but I wasn't sure if that was going from Kitkat to Lollipop? Or indeed if it was this model or the similar 10 inch Lenovo (half HD version). My tablet did do a small update when I hooked it up to wifi but the Android release was still 5.01 after I checked. Am hoping that this is a new batch that has been tested for Lollipop?
Does this have hdmi out? Couldn't see it in the specs

Thanks. That'll be why I couldn't see it then. Shame would have bought otherwise
So I can't hook this up to my TV to stream Showbox, Mobdro etc??

Use an Amazon FireStick for watching Showbox, Kodi and Mobdro on your TV, simply plug into your HDMI port on your TV, sit down and use the remote control.
Anyone, this tab or the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7
my missus still has her aging ipad 2 which is just about giving up the ghost. she just wants something to browse the web and emails. Battery life is something which is really important. Is the lenovo got good battery life.

Yes apparently the battery life is very long, in fact one of the longest the review sites had ever tested so you should def go for this

If battery life is so important, maybe have a look at Lenovo Yoga. Odd shape, but battery life is fantastic.

From what I've read, the battery life is really good, even with that big screen. That big 7000mAh battery should give great results...If I actually get a chance, I'd like to have a proper play with my new tablet!

No.
I am very happy with this tablet as it is now. I dont feel need to improve anything.

I have bad experience with android updates. My first tablet (Nexus 7) was upgrading itself and as result it is terribly slow now. I still use it from time to time, but I don't want this to happen again, so I switched off auto updates on Lenovo tab.

Turn off gesture typing, that helped a lot on my daughters 2012 nexus....more details here : 9to5google.com/201…lp/
Finally a cheap-ish tablet with a resolution to rival my faulty old Nook HD+

Turn off gesture typing

Will try your method tomorrow. Thanks.
I bought this last year for £150 @ John Lewis. Very impressed overall. Battery lasts 8-10 hrs, and is very fast, have never experienced any slowdown thus far.

I've left it on 4.4 as I've heard a lot of problems on the upgraded versions. The speaker is able to output very loud volumes and can do a nice bass output. Decent camera too (although avoid the default Lenovo app tbh). Lenovo ROM isn't too obstrusive, feels like stock with a few useful features added - such as scheduled on/off times.

By default all the apps display across multiple screens, so I would recommend either custom launcher or using App Drawer to fix this. Overall it's a great tablet, and at this price it's a steal.
Was very interested till I found out that it don't have a HDMI socket
very tempted on this, is this the same one at amazon for alot more money

Can someone pleas tell me the difference between the HD and the full HD version of this tablet ?? Argos has it for different prices.
Tempted as my Tab 2 10.1, is on the way out I reckon, sounds like this is a good tablet for your money.

The HDMI is a bit off puttng but then the afore mentioned tablet was the same. But since having a hudl it's handy hooking it up to the TV

I have a version of this, fabulous tablet. It had major wifi issues with update to Lollipop, but latest firmware mostly fixed them (mostly - still has issues staying connected when it's too close to the router, yes you read that right). Great price for it too.

Anyone, this tab or the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7

If you have the spare money and don't mind almost paying Apple prices then definitely buy the S2 because its a brilliant but overpriced bit of kit.

I had the Nook HD+ 2 year back. Trade in for HP laptop cashback. It only has 1GB RAM, a lot of games just crash.

Bought a LG G pad 8.3 last year to replace Nook HD+, which is very good too.

Bought Samsung Tab S 10.5 LTE recently to replace G Pad 8.3. It is the best so far I have used. I bought the Tab S 1st version, not the 2nd version.
