This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

The machine specs look great : Intel N4000, 4GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage, full HD display, up to 10h of battery life.
Its original price is £299, but I saw it at £199 at Currys (the only place where they sell this model - I can't find on Lenovo UK either), so it's definitely a good pre-Black Friday bargain.
Available colours: black and purple

Keep in mind that Google has recently updated the EOL of many Chromebooks (i.e. when support for the automatic update to new Chrome OS versions ends), extending life of many old models.

A neighbour bought this recently for £249. I knew it had previously been on offer for £199 and suggested they wait, but they weren’t prepared to.

I shortlisted it because it matched the requirements I thought they needed - full HD display, 14” screen, 4GB ram, expandable storage.

It’s a plastic case, but it feels well constructed and the design is nice. The keyboard doesn’t feel the best.

It uses a slightly newer processor than some other budget Chromebooks, the same as that used in Samsung’s upcoming Chromebook 4, which also uses a TN panel (see below) -
colourmytech.com/lap…op/

Support was also a consideration and that runs until June 2026.

It comes with 64GB of storage whereas some competitors only have 32GB.

The display is the weak point as it’s a TN panel and the viewing angles aren’t as good as on an IPS panel. That would be a deal breaker for me, but they were coming from a 2007 or 2008 era budget laptop so it wasn’t a factor. The screen on theirs actually looked better than the one in-store.

I thought it was good value for money at £249 and this is exceptional value.

It's the second device featured on here, although she wrongly refers to it as the C340 -

Cracking deal, I bought one of these at £199 on the last offer but I did get £50 off for a trade-in hotukdeals.com/dea…227. Fast, plenty of storage (I added a 128GB micro sd card in the slot) with a big HD screen. At 14" your probably at the limit of reasonable portability but I don't need to take the charger as it's the same (USB C) as my phone
So £161.10 with the eBay code. Fantastic price for a Full HD Chromebook.
tempted now as ive looking at chromebooks over the last few months, my old HP laptop is on its last legs and slow and i really only use a laptop for browsing etc.
Really struggling to find a new Chromebook to replace my old Acer one at a sensible price point. I'm after 13" or less, with a HD touchscreen and nice build quality, any suggestions?

Yep, hot. Bought. My first Chromebook. Can't go wrong for that price with the eBay 10%. Once the household has seen all the benefits, I'll be able to justify the next one... with touch screen... backlit keyboard... etc, etc...

Bought one myself - laptop is dying and only really do photo storage and internet - this should be great for pas through to external storage and internet stuff - and by 2026 if it dies then so be it - it will be up for a new one well Before then I suspect. Thanks for posting
I'm in the market for a tablet really but these keep catching my eye wondering if I'm better off getting one of these it's mainly for watching apps such as netflix sky go etc while the other half is watching her soaps etc is this a better option ???

Im so annoyed too, this model was only released around 7 weeks ago, i bought it the week after it went on sale for £279 using an ebay 10% off code from currys for my daughters christmas present. I thought it was still a good deal for the specs compared with any others at that price, the only other with the same specs was £325 after 10% off for the acer r13.
This is a fantastic price and i wish i hadn't already bought it cant return now been 6 weeks and i opened it, nevermind
Sorry, you dont have the Ebay discount code please? Would be a nice Christmas present for someone

It's 'PRISTINE'
Can you still do the 90 day trial if you buy it via ebay?
Shame not the 128gb ssd version :-( ...
Great just bought it off the ebay offer for xmas for my daughter. Thanks
Thank you all, bought off eBay. The better half went for the purple one.

But I doubt if the hardware can keep up. 4 GB Ram and emmc storage will be a huge bottleneck.
Thanks OP just gone for one via Ebay to replace my old Chromebook.

I think it will keep up, for browsing etc. And don't forget eMMC is still much better than disk. Also, this model supports Android apps which is a bonus. I know there's no touch screen but apps can be driven with a mouse.
Would this be suitable for a personal trainer who uses PP, excel, image and video editing? Daily heavy usage to respond and keep in touch with clients. Thanks

That probably depends on what applications you use and whether you can use the cloud versions - Office 365, YouTube, etc. You could use the 90 day trial and see how your get on?

I don’t think I know what apps I’d use myself yet, nothing too major. Basic editing which I’d be able to do on apps on my iPhone, it would just be easier on a laptop. Great idea regarding the trial. thanks!

In 2026 Google just stops pushing out Chrome OS updates. It doesn't explode!
You can always install Linux on there at that point too...

Thanks for the heads up!
Just checked it out in my local store for a bit of a play, TN panel is a bit angle sensitive but not disastrously so. They only had one display model left, so had to order on my phone via click and collect, collecting tomorrow after 5pm. (The staff are lovely but bleedin' useless, all kids these days, bah humbug et al...).

Yep great deal with eBay discount, shame when I posted a deal using it, HUKD admin decided to remove it, due to a PayPal scam story with curry's and as they hadn't heard back from curry's they weren't allowing deals to be posted with that particular retailer.

I ordered the purple version when 3 were in stock only to have curry's ebay email to say its delayed.
Now purple is sold out.
Wish I'd went for black now.
How well do you think COD mobile would run in basic settings on this ?
