I'd rather go for a 10" Amazon fire cb bother with this

And I would go with Lenovo any day over Fire. Firstly its cheaper, Google PS is pre-installed and as well other google apps which is a must. While with Fire I would have to go through the hassle of removing all its nonsense bloatware and the ads that keep popping on the lock screen (I just hate those), need to tweak my amazon account from time to time to remove those pesky ads.

So with all things considered I would personally opt for Lenovo.
2GB RAM, 16GB storage, Android 8.1.....cheap, but maybe a false economy for most(?)
Bought one for my son a couple of months ago and have to say that it's rubbish. It's slow and resolution is bad, better off with a fire HD tablet which he also has.

Great! I paid 149,which was on offer then, for my M10 32GB a year ago from JL

This is good Lenovo tablet sold by Argos at great price. Much better than old refurbished 1gb tablets being posted here by some people.

Only 2GB RAM and 16GB storage and no full HD. Can't believe Sam posted this.
The Amazon Fire 10 is only £15 extra and has 32GB storage + full HD. There are a few for £84, so for extra £5 you get double storage, but the item is refurbished and comes with Amazon Bloatware.

However, I voted hot, I believe the price is decent, unfortunately probably posted at the wrong time with all the sales. Definitely better than the refurbished ones 1GB RAM posted before, however, I have posted one before, same brand, only £23, so quite a big difference in price.

Saves me explaining why - cheers!
The M10 with Snapdragon 450, very good condition, is available for slightly more from Amazon warehouse.
I've got two and there very good I paid ninety nine pounds three years ago so this is very good.
I paid £100 for this just this past summer. So great price!
Does this support 5g?

- asking for a friend..

Price has only reduced by £19.01 in three years?

Looks alot better than iPhones prices..
Lenovo direct is same price and 10% first order with news letter sign up.

Youngest daughter has one. Exactly a year old. Been very good until a few days ago when the usb port has become a little dodgy. However have bought one of those magnetic usb cables with the little receiver that fits in the tablet USB port and that's put a plaster on the problem for a while.
Bargain to use as a tablet for surfing and watching movies/TV series
Managed to get the Fire 10 HD 64GB for £66 at the weekend. I'm guessing its best to stick with that as the best option?
this looks like a decent enough deal

i’ve actually bought my 8 year old daughter a Kindle Fire HD8 on the Amazon Black Friday offer. she will mostly use it for reading and home work and whilst you have to jump through a few hoops to get everything working well i’ve finally got there.

i think this is a good option if your happy to lock stuff down for you get children but for now the HD8 will be fine and I’m sure the next will be an iPad which were all using anyway
Personally I'd avoid. Lenovo's support is appalling, I spent £250+ on a tablet which was guaranteed an update to Oreo and they changed their minds. Never again!

At least with this your expectation is set - comes with 8.1 and stays there!
You could use this with Skype or other internet phone providers?

I'm just thinking it may be better for my dad than a new mobile for him.

Tablet uses a quad core 32 bit Coretex A7 running at 1.1Ghz.
Whilst these old 32 bit cores are not yet obsolete, it does mean the tablet needs to be very basic to use that chipset.
amazon.co.uk/ama…014 £95 for Amazon Fire 10, which can run Google play store and apps. I'd probably spring for the fire knowing that. I wonder what version of Android fire is built on.
Cold no 5G and EE essentials.

Did u get from amazon?! I didn't see such low price.

Presumably this 10% off will require a code however getting it £80 also requires a code so not sure if you will be able to stack both codes.

It all depends on what you’re going to use it for. Amazon would still be best for media as it has a 1080p Full HD display. The special offers can be disabled and they hold their value pretty well and are constantly updated and refreshed once every two years. The current Fire HD 10 on sale is the new model that came out October 30th 2019.

It's not difficult to fix the amazon only problem with those. Google play store takes a few minutes to install.
Thanks for posting, we have added this to the Highlights section
Have the new Fire 7 or Fire HD 8 tablets been rooted? Anyone know?

Wouldn't touch a fire tablet with a bargepole. Crammed with amazon bloat and slow. This is decent. Heat added op

Nope.. They are just horridly slow and laggy...and that before you make it worse by loading play store onto it

Heavy too, and the screen isn't nice to touch. Horrible bloatware on mine, including an impossible to remove redirect to their own search engine. Argos refused to take it back.

I've removed all Amazon apps with Amazon fire toolbox. It's a windows application but removes every trace of Amazon no Amazon launcher, no keyboard no bloat you end up with an almost stock Android tablet with playn store £95 if you get the 2019 tab 10 you can't beat it for the price.
