Agreed. Certainly the best out of all of these (not) mixed reality (vr) headsets.

I ordered from them 2 weeks ago, i had a conversation with them last week and they said it would be available til Nov/Dec. After i came off the phone the order showed as dispatched, the next day a 1" thick envelope arrived. That was supposed to be the headset, i refused delivery and am waiting for a refund.

I ordered and received the HP headset yesterday, i am sending that back. They are very poor, an S6 with Gear VR looks much better and has a bigger FOV.

I tried the dell one, was very good. Much better than my gear vr and s6 edge was. Maybe give that one a go?

They are all the same hardware except the Samsung, they look good on paper but the reality is the displays are pretty poor
, certainly not what you'd expect 2 years after the Rift & Vive.

There is only so much resolution they can push without it becoming too much for the average PC. I tried the Lenovo one too, I didn't like it as much but I think that was more feel than the screen resolution. They were both better than the rift I tried.

Received my Rift from Scan today and the difference is like night and day, unless you have a very low spec PC you'd be crazy to choose WMR over the Rift.

True but it still looks miles better, colour, contrast, FOV, SDE, everything.

I'll take your word for it, I only tried them both in the shop so no extended usage.

Once again, a great deal that gets ignored because the item is not as well known as the inferior leading product. This headset is actually much better than the Oculus Rift as can be seen from this review:

MixedRealityTV , ever so slightly biased maybe? I've owned the WMR and now the Rift, WMR doesn't come close to the Rift.

I think maybe it is you who is biased because you bought the wrong one. You did not try the Lenovo Explorer headset that many people are raving about. You only tried the HP one that literally has no positive reviews that i could find.

No they are not all the same. The HP has a lower field of view than the Lenovo. Probably other differences too that i don't know about as i've not seen a direct comparison between the two but i know about the field of view difference. That's a big deal in vr.

You are correct they have poor FOV but the reference hardware is exactly the same in every model except the Samsung. You may get slightly different FOV depending on how far your eyes are from the lens in each model ?

I owned the VIVE, used the rift. WMR is by far the way to go. can't believe someone bought a rift or a vive this month... Is like purchasing and iPhone 5s today, and then in secret "regret" try to say is superior to today's stuff.
Vive is great. but from all the ones I tried (samsung aside) Lenovo is the way to go, in UK I agree Dell looks better, but Lenovo in the end kills for the weight and that's HUGELY important point. Once the thing is on your face you shouldn't really care how it looks outside, specially when they use basically "same" lenses/screen. With the Lenovo was much better to read texts. and you have so much less stuff... is simple a happy time for VR... still starting but man.. On vive/rift so much stuff and bugs... each lighthouses, 3 power socket, plugs, and so many cables... then the headset connects to a box that need another 3 cables (power supply) etc...

Look how simple is now.... HDMI and USB and THATS IT !

Rechargeable controller (not big fan here) specially when the battery runs out on middle of something. and man... Analogs is just brilliant to have.... (point to the old rift here)

Even if you are a vive or Rift fanboy, WMR is a fantastic push to VR, and now support Steam!!!

Imagine how happy are the developers, they have now a standard ground to work on, you can pick any brand (competition = lower prices) and the same game will work from box!!... imagine how happy they are now... just Rift and vive battle was just bad for us...

Nice one MS.... and nice one Steam to give the support so fast !!!

Black friday \o/ empty your wallets !!!
