this looks pretty good for the money. I wonder if it can work via Ethernet too as it seems to do everything else. if you can swap the internal drives for a 2tb or SSD that would be cool too. hopefully it's still available come payday
This portable or like a desktop hdd?

There's a lot of hate for this product on Amazon (US)
Even if it isn't as entirely flexible as it claims, you're still getting a 1TB expansion for iproducts and a portable power supply for <£50
Looks like an old HP DC7900 USFF desktop computer >

Cant find it on amazon.com at all?
I read the amazon us reviews before ordering it, and I loved the UK one that thanked all the one star reviews for dropping the price to £49!

I'll see what it does, but for the money you can't really go wrong

Quickly scrolling through and not reading the text I thought "it has a DVD-RW drive too?!?" oO
Would that work on my LG T.V ??
Thank You

I was looking to buy Ethernet to wifi device , can this do that for me? Anyone knows ?
suppose the question is would you be able to transfer files from say a lap top to the device without it going through an app
No sorry, my wifi signal does not reach my bedroom so I am using power line adaptor, but it is not broadcast wireless, did not notice while buying, so was thinking of this can solve my problem with additional benefits it comes with
I'm dithering as to whether to buy or not looks perfect for sharing to tv or kids tablets??
Anybody know if you can daisy chain other drives with this - or of a similar device which allows daisy chaining?

thx.

US Amazon: amazon.com/Len…ect

Hmmm.. so tempted... always have been by this site (not Amazon, or Lenovo.. HUKD!)

Cant find it on amazon.com at all?

oops... sorry, should have posted my reply (above) linked to you
Anyone have any idea how quickly this would charge a smartphone ie would it be equivalent to a 2A charger?

Could you use this as a Plex server?
Tempted but as ever it's a HUKD special as it solves loads of problems I don't have!
Please persuade me I need this. oO

You'd be crazy not to buy one!

*Ahem* I just ordered one, my flimsy rationale being that it doubles up as a Plex TV shows backup that lets the kids watch direct to their tablets when in the car / away from home. Less faff than rigging up the DVD players (increasingly the stuff the kids want to see is MP4s not DVDs anyway).

Told you my rationale was flimsy. But mainly it's because I want to tinker with it.

I know it sounds good. I would probably fill it with movies and then I could just plug it into the telly. Think I better get it in case they run out. Thanks.
How about this case? Do you think it will fit?

Call in to Poundland or Home Bargains and get a Nintendo DS case for a quid. It will do exactly the same job.

Good thinking. I'll wait until it's delivered and take it with me. Cheers.
Just ordered. I was in need of a powerbank anyway, after a recent disastrous trip to Dublin with no phone charger. The wifi network streaming is also a great feature and it will be excellent for taking on holiday. Here's hoping the transfer speeds are decent. The 1tb storage is a bit weak by today's standards so if it didn't have the additional features it would be a bit overpriced even at £49.
Should show full price in title. £99.

It's £49 using the code in the description.

I know but you're not showing what it's discounted from.

It doesn't really matter either way to be honest

Makes it look a better deal showing what the full price would be. Maybe just me.
Anyone know if you can stream to a roku or fire tv device via dlna? Or is it only android and apple since you need to install a client? I read they're is a guest mode but cannot find any further information.
Don't need this but bought it anyway. Who doesn't need a wireless battery hard drive router.
am i right in thinking this will let me know wirelessly drag and drop all my photos/videos onto it, then still be able to access them on my laptop and tv? sounds too good to be true!
Ordered -_-

EDIT: The app for phones/iPads hasn't been updated since 2014. Starting to think this perhaps isn't a good idea.

Aha! All the more reason why it was a good purchase.

Sorry, don't get the joke? If you're iOS bashing, the Android app hasn't changed in over 18 months either - play.google.com/sto…=en

I've emailed to try and cancel, can't see any confirmation that this would work plugged into a router either as some form of wired network addressable storage. Only seems to work as a wireless access point.
