Cracking price for the specs:
Decent HDD for all your movies and MP3s (500 GB)
Enough Ram to make Win7 work properly (3GB)
Good enough processor for everyday home usage excluding gaming (P6200)

Now I have to add one honest comment:
I personally absolutely hate Lenovo (I am typing this on a T61, one of the worst machines I have ever had to work with) but I know there are many big Lenovo fans out there, so this offer is for you guys

How does the P6200 stack up against an i3? Or is this question impossible to answer given its vagueness?

Great price .. decent spec.

As comparison, lowest price Dell 3550 which has 3GB memory is £379 + vat = £454.80

From
notebookcheck.net/Int…tml
Intel Pentium P6200 score 4620

notebookcheck.net/Int…tml
Intel Core i3 2310M score 6174.5

Issue is if someone needs the extra CPU power (probably not for the most typical users -- not least since power users would go for the i5 or i7).

That one has a much smaller harddrive (250GB)

If you only want a 320GB :

Unsure of difference between B560 and G560 (as in offer)

Update : laptopshop.co.uk/len…htm shows this has a DVD "Super Multi" which means it can write both DVDs and CDs {anyone using these now?}

Older B560 models could only write DVDs.

Yes for both DVDs and CDs
