I'd be more worried about the heat sink fan, but it's not going to be that loud.
Are these any good always been sceptical about these all in ones.
Ordered for kids Christmas. Be ideal for homework and the likes. Thanks op
Windows 10 + old AMD Excavator APU + mechanical HDD = s l o w. Like, really slow. Maybe not when you first get it, but trust me, there's a reason why it's reduced.

I mean, £300 is alright for an all-in-one, but I wouldn't get it unless you have the know-how to swap an SSD in, then it'll be decent for basic tasks.

I have had a dell AIO for 4 years and have been very happy with it, albeit a higher spec cpu and touchscreen. I think this is very good value for money. Upgradeable to 16GB of RAM (and most likely 32GB - vendors seem reluctant to say their systems support 2 x 16gb DDR 4 SO Dimms). Although 8GB more than adequate for day to day needs. Can put in a M2 SSD in addition to the HD aswell.

This. Totally useless APU and a hard disk... unless you are desperate for an all-in-one and don’t care about anything else then maybe it’s ok. SSD would help a bit but you’d still be stuck with that processor...
AMD A9 chip & HDD in 2019? Sorry pass! Not worth it.
Bit of a wrestling match to get into this thing

Specs imply that there is an M.2 slot here (for PCIe ssd) but may have to replace hdd with the ssd instead (or replace optical drive bay with hdd caddy);

Think this is the m.2 slot (for PCIe ssd) if anybody bought one of these.

I doubt if it has an M.2 slot .. its a pensionable CPU so the mobo is likey to be of equal vintage, m.2 is a much more recent thing.
jebus, get a 24 inch ips monitor for about a 100 and get a pi 4 for 50, and a mechanical keyboard and you have something 10 times better than this tosh
