Sounds like a good price and better for many people but a refurb is hit and miss likely needing updates/os upgrade and a shorter battery lifespan while this includes Windows 11 and Office 365 for 12m good to go which will be better for some, it’s just options.

Tbh I would never buy a laptop with 4gb ram but it’s capable for some people. If they are looking for a cheap laptop and want it ready to go out of the box this may tick the box especially as it’s the same price as chrome book but for full windows. (edited)

With the free Office 365 I think this is a really good deal. I wouldn't want this for my main laptop but have two kids using this for Word and web browsing and it is entirely problem free. They don't game on it or anything, and know they can't.

It's actually faster than I would have expected.

    Heat given. (edited)

This may tick the box for some people, but you can pick up new "open box" laptops like this for the same spec (or slightly better) for half this price on eBay.

The Asus E210 might be a better option as same specs but at least you can upgrade the storage with an NVME drive. This laptop has space for a M.2 drive but no connector, I've seen someone successfully solder on a connector on YouTube and it apparently worked but that's a lot of work.

I think Celerons are fine for basic stuff as long as you optimise Windows and remove all the crap but I appreciate most basic users aren't going to do that.
