Bear with me as it's my first post.

I saw a very similar deal on here for the same model with an i3 processor. This one is basically the same but with a celeron processor for £50 less. I'm not as ofay as I used to be with tech stuff but looks like a good deal. I haven't got the foggiest whether an i3 is better than a celeron (I'm assuming it is because of the price) but the specs say the processor speed is 2.5 ghz compared to the i3 at 2.0 ghz. Either way for £179 I'm not fussed. You can add office 365 for another £39 as well with a bundle option.

Click and collect next day for free. I've just ordered one and they even do click and collect to the local express stores as well, which is handy.

£20 off code: TDX-V4X7

its ideapad not thinkpad!
Don't forget the tesco voucher for another £20 off.
Voucher code TDX-V4X7 is valid.
Personally I'd drop the extra £30 and go for the i3. A friend of mine bought a cheapie with a celeron last year and it's frustratingly sluggish and slow.

Good point forgot that! Just called tesco and they refunded 20 quid onto my card when I gave them that code no quibbles. I have to say very good customer service.

Sluggish and slow doing what? Basic computing at this price point will work perfectly well with this item. Web browsing, e-mail, etc. What was your friend trying to do with it? Basic computing does not need anything other than a basic CPU.
Well, that's me told. Obviously when I was using it, I didnt know what I was doing or what was happening!
Where does the OP say he/she is solely intending on just web browsing?
It came yesterday it seems fine to me. As I say we only need one for basics but for 4gb ram and 500gb hdd seems cheap. Also realised when it got here the screen is hd led which I didn't think was all that clear from the tesco website as it contradicted itself.
Adding Office 365 for £39 is not exactly an offer. £40 for a year? No thanks. I'll stick with all the various free options thanks...
I ordered it. It does not make sense to pay for Office, because you can have free Office online, with Microsoft account.
Just gone to order and upto 229 again
I got mine today, so far so good.
The only things I can complain about is that screen is very glossy, colours not very bright and sound is rubbish. However laptop is light, good battery life. Overall happy with it.
