Do these have a SATA or mSATA connection for the main storage? For £99.99 they'd be an even better buy if you could fire in a bigger SSD!

Great price - £99.95, includes 2 year warranty & free delivery.

Windows on that isn't even worth it... would be better buying an iPad lol.

Spend a little extra and get something 100x better.

Copy paste of the specs. I don't know how something so important was left out but there you go.

Great deal for a new product out. Yes it's basic spec, but if you want to do basic stuff then its a no brainer. In fact i bought one earlier and was about to post the deal before the website went down.

What do you mean? You're comparing an iPad, which is essentially a consumption device, to something with a keyboard and a desktop OS which could be quite productive. What would you suggest bearing in mind you know nothing about the needs of anyone apart from yourself?

If I could like this a million times I would!

I would spend extra and get the Lenovo S21e from Argos. Better build, better CPU.

Would this be suitable for my 11 year old daughter for browsing and school work?

How would this fair for average college work, Internet browsing and YouTube? Just a bit sceptical as to how good it could be for just £99? Any advice is welcome, thanks!

I would buy this, probably be happy with it for about a week, then regret it.

It's a basic laptop that does the basics well.

If you want to spend more on a better spec, then you'll have to double the price before you see much benefit.

Yes.
If for some reason you won't get this, I'd say take a look at some Chromebooks.

Can't decide whether to buy this or the Argos Black Friday deal- the Lenovo s21e laptop for £129.99?

Since the model number is 100s, you missed a great opportunity for a pun there.

Something like 'Spend a little extra and get something 100s of times better - ha ha!'.

Shame really, because the rest of your post was 2/10 material.

I gave you a like, but I only liked the joke you made.

Do lenovo still spy on people?

this always comes with FREE spyware... nice of lenovo to throw that in lol

Lol, only 2GB!? That's plenty for goodness' sake. People stuffing 8GB into their 'facebook machines' are mad (for 2 reasons).

No, it probably hasn't even got a sata header on the mobo. The storage is only 32GB internal (like a flashcard) and can be expanded with microsd card.

This is only for a bit of web browsing and email. It is not for games, 1080p videos, or 10 browser tabs! Do one thing at a time and it'll be OK, after all this has the same processor as a tablet in it. Does that make sense?

Thanks, this will be great for my 7yo to do his home work on, watch youtube and hopefully be able to play games on Miniclip etc!

The best kind of device for children is a proper PC. It has many advantages:-

They can sit at a desk, better posture, better division between playtime/worktime, better screen brightness so eyes are not straining (cheap laptops = poor screens), can monitor how much time and what they are doing (easy for them to take laptop to bedroom and be on sites that are not child friendly).

Encourage children to use a desktop = it's better for them and better for you, the parent.

Hard wired eMMC, they are only expandable via the microSD card slot.

It's basically a Windows tablet (think of the Linx / Connect 10) but with a built in keyboard. They aren't mega fast but quick enough for most users considering the price. I find that I can have Firefox (multiple tabs with heavy graphics), MediaMonkey running and Excel open and usable all at the same time. There's less lag on these than there is with the Galaxy Note 8 I have if that helps..

Got mine, nice for £100. Much better wireless range than the old hp laptop it's replacing. Screen viewing angles seem a bit iffy.
