This one's FHD though

Makes all the difference, I'd never go back to a non FHD display now!, well worth the extra

Yes but that was over a month ago. Its december now buddy. Show me a better deal at the minute than this at this time then. Makes no sense to be voted cold. £10 higher than a month ago yea i get that but this is a good deal at this very time
I only meant that a lot of the questions bound to be asked are covered in that thread.
A lot of clueless people on this site voting this cold.
Hot!! Worth it for that Full-HD IPS screen. Especially needed on a 15.6 laptop.
update sorry it's not an IPS panel. TN screen.

This has the exact same model number as the John Lewis one 80SM01MAUK Ideapad 310 . And the Amazon one that was £289 a couple of weeks back. They say it has no DVD/ DVD Writer drive in the specs checklist, but in the past it did have it listed, and why does it include Power DVD software?.

I would appreciate an answer on this issue asap as my mum really requires this feature but I told her to hold off until a good price came round again. Anyone know? Thanks in advance

Edit: I have come to the conclusion that it probably hasn't got an optical drive as AO, John Lewis and Amazon all say "No" as do the Amazon questions answers. However John Lewis say that it hasnt got 1080p, yet the other two state that it does. So you can't always be 100% sure of listed specs until you recieve the item
Edited by: "thabiz" 24th Dec 2017
so, in the tech specs, it says:

screen type : HD

then later on says

1920 x 1080

if its 1080p, good deal. if 720p, JL is better

I'm tempted by that too. Do you know if the HP's RAM can be upgraded?

I don't really know..I think all laptops have 2 slots..but warranty is void if you upgrade without telling them
For people who purchased Lenovo Ideapad 310 from AO ebay when this deal was on..was 299 on AO ebay, 240 after ebay 20% off. Just message AO on e bay that screen was stated in description as IPS display, but actually is TN not IPS. They refund me 50£ as John Lewis were selling this for 250. So actually I only paid 190£ for it :). Hope will help someone!!!
