If it's a £200 laptop it is fine.

This should really have full HD and maybe also more ram for the price instead of the SSD, which can be added later unlike the higher resolution.
God..same laptops all the time..

Wut? How do you think people coped in the 90's to early 2000s? Looking at any res screen for too long will cause myopia and headaches regardless.

That said, you'd be dumb to buy this now, so close to Jan sales. John Lewis will offer something better with a decent warranty
Can't believe manufactures still offer shjte screen resolutions. Do they want to sell products or no?

Only one USB apparently! How is that even possible nowadays?!

Suck too as I like to charge devices at the same time . but i suppose with wireless printers and cameras and blue tooth devices the need does come down. But 1 USB does sound a little short

However he is right, this day and age where Tv resolutions are only going up, laptop manufacturers are still peddling 1366 screens.. it's not on

Lenovo hasn't been a decent brand for a long time. It's one of the most hated computing brands. Why do you think they're so cheap?
Excellent spec for the money, voted hot.
If you make it, they will buy.

Personally not for me but I know family who would be happy with this and I'm not getting dragged any further into the arguement as life's too short and it's nearly christmas

People wouldn't accept 1366x768 for their phones, tablets or TVs. Why accept it for laptops? Even if you had 768p on a phone or tablet, Android or iOS would handle scaling pretty well so it wouldn't look that bad. But a laptop running windows 10? The interface scaling is horrific. Blame Microsoft for that.
Because the sad truth is, a lot of people don't even notice the screen resolution until it's too late.

Especially when you have some amateur curry's sale rep pushing them on some unsuspecting computer illiterate customer.

Why would you say that ? It's low resolution compared to many current products yes, but a lower resolution means things on screen are larger and easier to read so I'm not sure what you mean by give your eyes a break.

I generally need to give my eye's a break from my 3k 14" laptop screen after a while, a larger easier to read screen is welcome after using it for hours on end.

I think it really depends on your eyesight and how long you use the device for, there is nothing wrong with such a resolution - the capability to increase it would be a welcome option of course though.
Got 3 USB port but still unsure

Wise words, mate. You're a good man taking the time to post these messages about screen resolution. 👌

Not sure you would really notice the benefits of HD on a 14” screen. An IPS screen would be a better option with improved depth of colours and viewing angles.

Performance wise, the fact that this has an SSD as opposed to a spinning disk is a big plus.
