Just a heads up , I have the 17" version of this and its fine for what I want but when I first bought it was so slow at everything I thought it was faulty and nearly returned it. Googled the problem and turns out the Lenovo 320 series has a common fault , I cant remember the details but basically you have to turn off all the notifications , I did so and bingo all was fine.

Merry Xmas

One cannot compare these two stallions, they are for different audiences.
I prefer this deal, this is lighter, smaller, faster and 7 hour battery life. Not to mention the SSD for lightening fast start up. Heat op

14" compared to 15.6" also
I would go for Stevo's deal.....just for the screen, once you've tried IPS then you never want to go back
I have this laptop. Powers up and ready to use in a few seconds. Much better than my Sony 3rd gen i5. It also runs much faster than my partners i36006u HP laptop, both with 4gb ram, especially when multi tasking.

Screen is fine for my laptop use; work, internet and some media. Its thin, lightweight and looks like a much more expensive laptop.

Obviously better laptops out there, but this is a good option at this price.

Heat from me.
I got this last week for my daughters Xmas not sure about it. The screen is pretty poor tbh didn’t think it would matter but thinking of sending it back.
This vs the super hot 310
This is a good little laptop. Balanced spec gives nice combination of battery life, speed, connectivity etc. Not to my requirements but the sort of thing I'd happily gift to a relative.
John Lewis sale £249.99 better processor too pick up after Wednesday.
TN LCD is 1980s spec, in fact i think they used TN panels in 2001 a space odyssey lol

If you don't like it now, you won't like it anymore in 2 months time particularly when you notice how poor films etc look on a low res TN panel screen.

You watch something like BBC's Blue Planet II or sci-fi films with alot of dark scenes, and you'll notice that the blacks look grey and alot of details are lost in dark areas of the picture.

TN panels really shouldn't be allowed to exist in laptops sold in 2017/18.

That still suffers from the same weakness as this machine - poor quality screen.

4GB RAM is also very limiting for Windows 10. I've got 2 tabs open in Chrome, an old 720p B&W film playing in VLC, and Task Manager is showing that I'm already using over 3GB RAM.

Yeah it’s going back, even my daughter thought the picture was rubbish and she’s 10yo you have to have the screen perfectly tilted for it not to be unwatchable.
Does this come with a warranty?

I don’t have the item but paperwork is usually in the box. Currys provide a 12 month guarantee on electrical items, this is also mentioned in the specifications.
i just bought this laptop from Curry's but the i3 128gb ssd & FHD screen, was up for £399 but after agreeing to take out their cover the manager done me a deal and got it for £350. Hope i. made the right decision, just mainly need it for basically Microsoft Office. Have two questions of someone can help, first will memory from a lenovo t410 or t440 fit in this, and is it worth putting a Samsung Evo 240GB SSD i have in. broken laptop in, i guess it will fit? thanks in advance

Cold

This is better for £50 more as has i3 and FullHD screen:

Voted hot by accident

Not a great CPU and not Full HD.

I thought this was the £349.99 full HD i3 version that had reduced in price.

That version is well worth the extra £50.

excellent features!
My son has this it’s great for school
Wouldn't buy anything with without full hd
Saw this next to the £349 1080p version. Very poor screen; washed out colours and narrow viewing angles. Pay the extra £50.
