256gb ssd would have hit the sweet spot, still not a bad deal.

I'm assuming the screens on the i3 and i5 are the same. Can you give an opinion on the screen having used it?

There's a space for a hdd as well as the sdd? Even if there isn't I suppose a slim fit 128gb usb would do the trick.
OK, so i got mine from AO, lost of mistakes on there website regarding this laptop, Full HD but 1366 x 768, SSD but was m.2 and had a blank for the hard drive.
Just checked and looks like they have put the correct screen resolution now but still says SSD.
The screen is a TN screen brill viewing angles never had a screen as good myself. Max brightness could be better but i suppose that personal preference.
So either way if it is a hard drive you can add M.2 drive.
Link to the one form AO I paid £599 and am still happy
Mine came with finger print reader also.

I couldn't pay that much for sub 1080p resolution screen. I think you could probably get better deals at that price point but that is an educated guess, and not backed up by research.

The screen was FHD, he explained AO labelled it incorrectly as HD.

M.2 is an SSD.
Anyone know if the body on this is grey plastic or metal ?

Anyone know if the body on this is grey plastic or metal ?

As far as I've read the 320s models have a plastic base and metal cover on the top. Not 100% sure though.
I'm on the lookout for a laptop as my netbook of 8 years is grinding to a halt! This looks like a pretty deal from what I've seen.
So nearly brought this, great spec for the money but holding out to see if Dell Inspiron 7370 gets any discounts on the Dell Outlet store. This is definitely a good deal if anyone isn't sure whether to take the plunge.

I've bought it, I'll just hold onto it for a few days before I open it. If something else pops up I'll send it back. Rather that than wait and possibly have nothing else turn up.

I was one of the people that bought the vivobook deal on BF only for it to turn out to be HD not FHD. So although that had a 256gb ssd and this doesn't, the fact it has FHD and is £50 cheaper than that deal makes it worth it I think.
How's this for Football Manager 2018?
Anyone know what the keyboard layout is like on these? Or better yet a photo if you've got one?

After something with the proper UK layout for programming on.
Reserved this for collection tomorrow - didn't realise they were open til 9pm today otherwise would have done it earlier.
Been looking for a similar spec laptop for a while and this is best deal to come up so far. Might just keep it sealed for a few days to see if anything comes up in the Christmas sales
Due to the number of hardware spec configurations it seems impossible to find out if this is an IPS screen and what capacity the battery is.

Can't be 100% but I'd have thought IPS, TN screens aren't usually FHD. Hopefully one of the lovely people here will let us know tomorrow....

M.2 is an SSD.

point was that the free drive was a 2.5inch rather than the more usual m.2 free with a 2.5inch HDD (or sometimes SSD)
probably handy for most folk

edit: oh right i see diesel uses them interchangeably - missed that hidden within the garble

tn screens aren't usually FHD... well maybe, maybe not
even if so though, that doesnt mean that you should assume its ips because its FHD!
Is this a reasonable alternative? store.hp.com/UKS…NTB

It's the older generation i3-6006u but has a full HD IPS display, 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD for £450. Appears to have better battery life, is lighter and has an extra USB3 port.

true, tbh dont have much faith in diesels feedback
different sites say different things for different models

looks a good machine for the money though if a decent screen
Does it have keyboard backlight?
Come in, does it have a backlit keyboard anyone?

No
Hi. My partner needs to run the below program, would the minimum requirements meets this laptop spec. Can’t really spend anymore than £500 and has to be a laptop. Thanks. Any help would be appreciated

Anyone found any review of this model? The 320s 14IKB model number Currys are listing it as doesn't seem to be unique to this particular spec. Notebookcheck.net lists several different specs none of which match although good to see one I looked at had an ips screen.
No Ethernet port or cd/dvd drive in case anyone needs them.

You can get usb to Ethernet adaptors for around a tenner so might get one for the rare occasions where I need one like setting up a new router or transferring lots of files.
I've just ordered. £40 Quidco convinced me. It's available for the next 2 days on Currys laptops over £399.

Glad to see Currys 14 day return policy allows opening to inspect so I can confirm it's got a proper UK keyboard first before deciding if I'm keeping it.

I believe it's a fairly new spec, I googled the code on the box "81BN000HUD" and found no reference online.

Just picked it up today, heres the keyboard.

Keyboard is not backlit. Pretty nice to type on, I'm also going to be using it for programming so yeh seems fine.

For those wondering about screen, seems pretty good. Not sure about the different types of displays but certainly looks good enough.

Great that looks like proper UK layout to me so fits the bill.

Only slight concern is the lack of separate number pad as not sure how much I use it but think it's quite a bit. Guess that's the norm on 14" laptops though. Most of my previous have been 15" or bigger so had room for it and one old Dell Inspiron that didn't had a special shift key instead that mapped some of the letter keys to a number pad temporarily.

Any other feedback on it?

Is there much bloatware to uninstall or worth doing a fresh Windows install.

Just trying to figure out the bloatware question too. Wondering if I should just run the Windows 10 refresh tool and start with a new.

No bloatware really, mine was ready to go all set up, just mcAfee really, id say im quite happy with it seems worth the price, really good performance, boots up in seconds, really slim and lightweight too, overall id say it definitely is good.
Ordered will let you know how I get on.

I've been looking into this and I'm not sure if it has a spare 2.5" sata, not m.2
