That bezzel is horrendous
Looks like a decent deal to me: IPS 1080p screen, decent processor, 8gb ram, not too heavy. Hot.
I have this laptop and it's excellent.

The build quality is better than anything else at this price point and spec.

This deal is crazy hot. I paid £399 and thought that was a decent price.
Picture shows 4 colours, any idea how we can pick?
Another good deal 512gb as apposed to 128gb ssd and price difference of £26.

I think the 330s has better built quality. The top is Aluminium.

....it is £399 again now, probably because tomorrow they will offer 15% off instead of the 10% with this code
Anyone know if ram upgrade is easy enough (none soldered etc) also is there room to fit a 2nd hard drive.
Size of HD is only real downside I can see
How's the i5 compare with the Ryzen 5 3500 ?
* Not bought a laptop for nearly 10 years so I'm miles behind tech wise

I have both laptops.

If you don't need the memory, go with the Lenovo. It's a much nicer chassis, feels really premium.

The HP is noticeably lighter though but it feels very plasticy.

Both are great laptops for non-gamers.

It has one 4GB stick soldered, the other 4GB stick can be swapped. The hardware manual shows it having an M.2 slot as well as SATA interface - this laptop uses the M.2 slot and the SATA has a dummy drive in it. In both cases it's not classed as a customer replaceable part, but it's just a case of undoing the screws and carefully prising off the bottom panel. Done it on my Yoga which is basically the same layout inside. Just need to be aware that the screws are as soft as butter.
