Yes, the screen is an IPS.

Also, Argos is the only place where you can buy this 3 cell battery model, with the 65 watts rapid charge power adapter included. Cost £40 to buy on Lenovo.
It's the best version.

Do you have any idea how big the battery is? 5 hours seems not much, especially if they are claiming 5 then it is probably much less in real world use.
Considering as far back as 2 years ago you could get the 320s 6100u, 4gb RAM and 128gb SSD for £330 from PC world, this deal isnt very good by comparison. Yes more space and better CPU but thats not worth the extra money considering the 320s is so old and even that came with an IPS. £400 would be a better deal for this

Hi, tawse. I think 5 hours is about right, normal usage with moderate brightness not gaming.

Thanks, not as good. It's a A2 refurbished with 3 months warranty. That is the 2 cell battery model with 45 watts power adapter.

You normally have to take 25% off from what they're quoting.

Argos can't tell me if it is the fast charge version. They confirmed it does not have a back lit keyboard.
I feel it would be good for around £400
This deal was flagged up on here nearly a year ago at £529.
The main concern then was "throttling", quite a common problem with ryzen across all makes of laptops.
Old model, in the clearance sale.
Lenovo seem to have problems with screen brightness also.

They all have fast charging, but only works with the 65 watts power adapter, which comes with for the Argos version.

The new version S340 has Ryzen 3500U, but the screen was downgraded to a cheap 220 nits TN screen.

I saw this model in Currys, the screen brightness was perfectly fine in a bright showroom. To be honest, they're all pretty poor outdoor. Unless you spend more on a XPS with 7 cell battery, 500 nits display.
How is this cpu compared to an i5 8265u
I wonder whether the model sold by John Lewis is same spec as this Argos model
johnlewis.com/len…116

A 330s-15arr Ryzen 5 bought from Lenovo UK for £399 (currently £479) in blue, and comes with a 45w charger been working fine for last 2 months at a relative's home, connected to mains power 24/7. (Don't know what size battery) Only teething problem was with the defective Realtek HD audio driver (v8538) that is known to cause sleep and shutdown problems - I notice Lenovo finally offer an alternative 'older' driver (v8522) on their website for owners with the issue.

Lenovo (as does Dell and HP) also push (risky) bios upgrades via Windows Update to some of their newer models. Yesterday, we upgraded it to windows 10 v1903 and I saw the firmware update being downloaded via Windows Update and silently installed when laptop restarted. Fortunately, there was no problems unlike some reports from other unlucky 330s-15arr owners ending up with issues such as not being able to save changes to bios settings)

That is the same model from Lenovo but in grey. It's the 2 cell battery version with a normal charger.
You get 2 years warranty though from JL.
Hi there,

For those with this laptop, please can you advise:

1) Is the screen DIM or bright?

2) Is the SD card slot flush (hides fully when inserted) or does it stick out?

Thank you

I suggest you search for reviews for an answer to the SD card question. The specs for the screen say 220 nits, which is dim but common in this price range, though you can get 250 nits on some models.

THank you will do.

Just wondering what real-world users who have this laptop say?

One reviwer on Argos said the dispaly was very good
Oos
Can anyone who owns this please feedback on screen and brightness?

FYI - Lenovo advise it is 250 nits but users online say it is quite good and bright.

FYI 2 - Lenovo also advise that SD card does stick out
