Jesus I don't need a laptop but this looks incredible for the money
40500100-8pwt7.jpgOrdered maxed out spec for £546.

Edit - can get a larger battery by choosing "no harddrive" rather than "dummy harddrive". I had to reorder.

The thing that drives me mental amidst all of this delivery time farrago is that you have people in here who are raging about delivery times and yet don't realise that a HUKD deal spams companies. Particularly when I see people who have bought one of each laptop across all the interrelated Lenovo deals and then say they will cancel on whatever doesn't arrive first etc. FFS that's hardly going to help the production queue for what are essentially bespoke laptops given the customisation options.Make your pick, be happy with it and sit tight. It will come, probably sooner than you think. No really fantastic deal on this site does not involve a little bit of application/patience (Cashback?)
Both of my laptops arrived yesterday.
The 4500U/16GB/256GB SSD with fingerprint reader, backlit keyboard, and the top specced screen, plastic palmrest.

The build quality is very nice ,the plastic palmrest is much better than I had expected.
Its similar in size to last years Huawei Matebook 15 which I have.

I installed Win 10 on one of the laptops this evening ,it took about 5 minutes !
After installing Win 10 ,I had to tether my phone to the laptop as it doesn't have any wifi drivers installed .
It automatically installed most of the drivers then.

I've been running it off the battery and also off the power supply and I've only heard the fan kick in for 20-30 seconds a few times ,its pretty much silent so far, which is brilliant.
The screen is quality ,it looks great even without me calibrating it .

The laptop is really smooth in operation ,like butter.
Granted I've not pushed it yet but initial impressions are that its a serious bit of kit and we've bagged a serious bargain.

BEar with me for a sec, trying to fix link
Roasty toasty!
There is a problem accessing Lenovo Rewards Store links via HUKD. I.e. if you take my link and put it in an address bar it works, but clicking the links with the asterisk added (so HUKD get their commision??) messes it up somehow. Can anyone help?
would this be the best laptop deal so far? not sure which 1 to buy
Bought the idealpad 3 yesterday which was also Ryzen 5 with 15" screen. Is this worth the extra £140?

Damn, that's why they were selling the 3500U model so cheap, because they were about to introduce this! Awesome deal!

That's an absolutely insane price for an 8-core, 16-thread processor!
Just checking, is the link working for people?
this should sort out the URL [this is a shortened URL]

It works, feel free to add this to the main post

This deal was on Mydealz.de yesterday ,the German sister of Hotukdeals and it attracted insane heat,1682 comments so far.
mydealz.de/dea…306
I was hoping it would be launched in the UK as I could not get an English keyboard layout on the German site and would have had to use a forwarding service.
Its a fantastic offer.

2.6mm screen-not showing this option for me, interesting..
Looks like it's possible to spec a bigger battery if you fiddle with the spec correctly.

70Wh is possible if you choose no mechanical drive rather than dummy drive.
I think this may be better than the previous deals with intel and mx350!

Thanks a lot, mate! I put that in the description and seems to work

I can live with that for the huge increase in CPU power.

Is the multi touch screen not a good option? That's IPS too.

Hot for the brand new CPU. But no extended warranty options makes me worried about Lenovo.
Also, comes out to be the same price as the intel 14" model with all specs up.
Ok keep in mind Ideapad is not a premium Lenovo product. I would expect typical Lenovo build quality at this point.

But these are great specs for the price. 4000 series Ryzen mobile is a game changer. And a 6 core 12 thread model like this is really going to be enough for a huge amount of people.

Waiting for that Ryzen 4000 Thinkpad, personally...

Edit: Whoops I thought this was 4600u... this is 6 core 6 thread. Ryzen 4xxx cores though!

Is it worth cancelling the i5 I ordered around Easter that keeps getting delayed :/

I'd missed that to be honest. I don't use touch on my current laptop despite it supporting it. I'd rather have the thinner metal casing.

That's what I'm doing. This is massively more powerful.

It may be enough for some, but the iGPU in the Ryzen 7 4800 is suppose to be faster than the MX350. Better for casual gaming.

I dont think Ryzen 4500U has SMT so has 6 cores but no additional threads. It would still kill the intel chip though.

Is that confirmed? The spec sheet has metal listed.
This is an amazing deal. Does anyone know the sRGB coverage of the 15.6" FHD (1920x1080), IPS, Anti-glare, 2.6mm Thickness, 300nits, Narrow bezel?

Thanks for letting me know. I think I thought this was 4600U :P
Disappointing that AMD are restricting SMT in mid-range CPUs but yes, those are 6 Ryzen 4xxx mobile cores. Core blimey!

Yes ,the 4500U doesnt have multi threading but the 4600 does.

CPU Benchmark gives the 4300u a score of 8364 ,which outperforms the 3500 ,a score of 7198.
I can only imaging how powerful the 4500 and 4600 are .
Just ordered. Maxed it out for £550! What a steal!!! Thanks OP!!
If you look at the IDEAPAD L340 15 and add a GTX 1650, you could get that for £560? Is that any good?
Bargain
