Cheapest I've seen this elsewhere is £619, so a decent saving. Use code "PRICESAVER" to get this price.

Note that the 15" version of this gets slated for having a bad screen. As far as I can see, the 15" is a TN panel, and the 13" in this is IPS, so should be a lot better.

nice laptop. I have tried running street fighter on an i5 HP laptop with GT 940m and it runs on 1024x768 with OKish framerate. so wont be big for gaming. for the price the SSD is a bit small too. but then again you pay much more for the X1 gen 3 which has same cpu & standard intel GPU
Gah just when I bought a second hand surface 3 might have been better off with this
This came very close to the specs I'm looking for, but not quite. A backlit keyboard (which this lacks) is a must for me.

Still, posted as it may help someone else.
How easy would it be to upgrade the SSD in this? I have a spare 250gb sitting somewhere.
Pity about the tiny hard drive. SSDs getting cheap enough for manufacturers to include 1TB ones in expensive ultrabooks.

920m isn't that much better than Intel 530 integrated graphics?

laptopmedia.com/top…ng/

Lenovo uses this same GPU in a lot of their laptops that I've recently looked at around this price range. Could be one of the reasons why the battery life suffers as a result:

Battery Life
**Up to 4.5 hours with standard battery
Good deal ive been after upgrading my laptop due to it being temperamental and that im not happy with screen so this will be ideal

Very easy. Just download some OS migration software before you do it.

It has an HDMI port and a thunderbolt display port (like a mac)
this vs Toshiba p20w-c-103 ... what you guys think?
Why no backlit keyboard???
not worth it not the best performance of cheap Intel Core i5-6200U Processor

the one in Pcworld is only 550,after 50 cash back, the same brand and series, 15inch, i7 6500U,12G ram, 2Tb hard disk, but AMT graphics, I think it's enough.

I would actually say just do a clean install and get rid of potential lenovo bloat in the process.

(You don't need to do anything about windows licence, it is all automatic as all OEM devices are simply registered on Windows servers so it gets activated automatically)

Basically you download the iso from Microsoft, make it bootable on a USB stick, replace the ssd and install Windows from that usb.

It is far simpler than using migration software and it will rid you of bloat.

But having a poor TN screen in comparison to this having a very good IPS one. Also there is the form factor to consider, there are plenty of similar deals on 15.6" laptops but relatively few on 13.3" ones.

2TB hdd and 12gb of rams are easily upgradeable extras and I have had much better experience with nvidia graphics than with amd in laptops.

I would still probably go with lafite from pcspecialist rather than this and install my own windows. i5 should be plenty for this machine as realistically you can't seriously game on either and choosing sm951 for lafite should give it a far better performance than this at about 450£

What spec are you configuring to get the Lafite II for £450? With an i5 and a m.2 you are looking at least £550? Genuine question as I am also highly considering the Lafite.

Hmm i3+ 128GB sm951 are 456 (note, I remove the 2.5" hdd and windows) you can pick up windows keys for 15-20£ on a good day on eBay or just get it for free.

i5 upgrade takes you to 499£ and 256GB (which is still faster) to 546.

I don't know why but it actually stayed in my mind as cheaper than that. (I thought the i5 starting price was 450 is rather than i3).

Also am option to consider if you are looking at something like this might be the 3xs from scan (also remove all parts and install your own).

Oh Dear God! *it'S probably THE weather.
I think Toshiba Satellite Radius will be a much better Ultrabook than Lenovo Ideapad.

From what I heard, Radius is very good quality and good screen too.

FHD £600 at Currys with i7-6500U, 8GB RAM, 256GB M.2 SSD.
4k screen is £100 more.
360 degree hinge compare to 180 degree hinge in Ideapad.

I do not know if Lenovo Ideapad is an Ultrabook or just a normal laptop, 1.5kg for 13.3 and 4.5 hours battery life.

If Ideapad is just a normal laptop, pay a little extra for Radius as an Ultrabook with better overall quality make more sense.

No, 699 reduced to 599 then after cash back is 549. I have ordered one but will arrive next week. They told me this one is really hot so sold a lot

street fighter 2 emulators use CPU power rather than GPU. i run alot of emulators on my laptops and they run amazing. especially on a high ranking 7 like this.I even ran mario kart @ 1080p on my lenovo x1 with dolphin emulator.

this is a GTX GPU rather than a GT one. it will run street fighter V effortlessly. Speaking of, I setup my new samsung 32" monitor yesterday and played SFV @ 2560x1440 via GTX 980 STRIX. Loved it. but the game story mode is so short
