Whats wrong with lenovo?
If you prefer not to buy from Currys, I found it £526.91 from LambdaTek (inc shipping)

https://www.lambda-tek.com/Lenovo-80TK0092UK~sh/B6432978&viewSpec=y#product-view

I am not crazy about the aesthetics, it looks a bit plasticy, but one of the appeals of this model for me is that, good at the price, you are getting the i5-6267U, rather than the i5 6200U.
Actually, this is a really nice laptop. I have the i7-6567u version which I picked up at auction for just £330.00 The screen is beautiful (with a matte finish), keyboard nice and clicky and the touchpad is OK as well. The SD reader runs at USB 3.0 speeds thankfully! The SSD is very quick (90% percentile according to Passmark) and the RAM is nippy as well. My only complaint is a pretty major one though, coming from a fanless Toshiba Chromebook 2 previously - the processor fan seems to be on an awful lot by default.

The solution for me was twofold - reduce the maximum CPU state to 70% or so in power options (no good for those who want the highest performance, obvs.) and install notebook fan control in combination with the Lenovo Yoga 710 profile, or better still, with the profile someone has created here:

https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-IdeaPad-100-305-500-Edge/Ideapad-510s-fan-constantly-running/td-p/3498656

Application link is here: https://github.com/hirschmann/nbfc/releases

This tells the laptop not to set the fan spinning until it really needs to (it is over cautious by default, kicking in at 50 degrees or less, hence it has it running a lot by default).

Very happy with my laptop now!

Ha! If it was a buy it now laptop then I'd post the link As it is, I was lucky as the auction ended during the rush hour, so less people were bidding. Only got 6 months warranty, but can't complain for the price.

Hi, thanks so much.
Need a decent 13 or 14 inch laptop. Is this a good option? Don't want to spend silly money as it will not be used for intensive things
blah - not available for delivery ... and can't find stock in London area either.

I procrastinated ... I now regret

just got the i7-6567u version off eBay tonight. wondering how it's holding up after 3 weeks. I have a 30 day returns period so would like to hear if there are any issues I should look out for.

cheers!
