I got the I7 version some time back when it was similarly discounted.
Generally I am very pleased with it.
Irritations are:
1: SD card does not insert flush.
On my previous Toshiba, my 200GB microSD was able to "Live" in the slot.
2: No disk activity LED
so if a poor on screen progress bar(e.g Back up whizzes to 97% then no progress) you cannot easily determine if anything is still going on.
3: Multi-operation Function keys
means e.g. in Word, to use F4 (repeat last discrete operation), requires Fn + F4 keys. I find that tedious.
4: Extracting LAN cable.
Takes some getting used to.
5: Poor technical manuals
Nowhere could I find the I/P DC voltage, except by photographing & zooming in on the micro script on the integrated adaptor. Disappointed power adaptor - cable doesn't split like my Toshiba did.

Other than that the I7 version certainly is whizzy.

I think these are complaints common to many manufacturers so it shouldn't put anyone off buying this machine.

Hasn't really mattered until I got a Dell 5378 hybrid ultrabook, which really could do with having the SD card totally recessed. I think it's to stop idiot returns when said idiots can't get their SD card out of their laptop and/or ram a butter knife in to try to release it.2: No disk activity LEDThe one on my Dell 5378 is right at the front and very bright so really, really annoying. Luckily it doubles as the charge light so I always have it switched to that. And...I never look at them anyway. There are tooltray utilities if it's a must have.3: Multi-operation Function keysNot tedious; fecking annoying!4: Extracting LAN cable.Haven't even got a socket!5: Poor technical manualsDell manuals aren't that great either.

Any users can comment on plugging i mobiles by usb?
Do you get Win10 Explorer Not Responding when trying to rename a file on mobile using MTP? I get Explorer to crash and once it restarts, MTP is ok.
I have the i7 version and it's very good. My only complaint is the fan noise, but there is a German application around which will stop the fan kicking in until it really needs to, which makes a massive difference.

The screen is beautiful, keyboard nice to type on and the laptop itself is very responsive. Not had any issues with mobiles, although I've only connected a Samsung S7 and iPhone 5s. Oh, and my Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro.

If your Lenovo is anything like mine, you can reverse this in the BIOS.

Is that in reference to lenovo laptops or in general? My Samsung sometimes does it with my moto g phone, although explorer only freezes rather than crashes. No doubt I could kill the process, but after a minute or so it's fine and then it will work fine from then on.

Yes, I was referring to Lenovo and I have a Ideapad 500.
When Win10 Explorer goes Not Responding for ages on trying to rename a file on the microsd on the mobile via MTP, I click close window several times until Windows10 Explorer is killed&restarted, then the file renames work normally.

This is a good deal based on current prices but I'm going to hold out for something a little lighter (with better battery life).
NB I don't think you'll get TCB as the 10% is via a code.
I've been eyeing this and can't decide whether to pull the trigger. If you have a Nationwide credit/debit card and are signed up to Simply Rewards then I think there is 1% cashback currently, not a lot but better than nothing.

Most laptops does not even need BIOS for that, Usually FN+ESC swaps between the two layouts.

Thank you;
I had Googled that but Esc + Fn has no effect on F4 which continues to Toggle the Microphone.

Strange, I've been connecting different Android phones to windows 10 PC's and had almost no issues, if I did it was only related to incorrect USB cable

Not exactly helpful, got a y510p ,and its been awesome also got a ZUK 2 which also awesome. No problems what so ever with either products so unless you actually have an experience to share with us to explain, your opinion is only that and holds no substance at all.
