Hear me out on this one! Many will see the spec and price and think this is not a deal, and I hesitated before buying, and again before posting. But I now have it and I think it is great! Premium feel, and compact with a sharp, matt screen which does not suffer from reflections in the way its predecessor with a glossy screen did. I'd have liked a more modern, faster processor, but for the planned usage - Sage for bookkeeping and payroll, email, web browsing - this 520s is fast and responsive, benefiting from 8GB RAM and the SSD. So, for what I need, the processor is good enough.

Other features not covered in title: 8GB comprises 1x8GB DDR4, HD 720p Camera with array mic, Backlit Keyboard (very nice it is too), Windows 10 Home. Lenovo Part Number is 80X200AHUK

I really wanted 256GB but will upgrade the SSD if need be when that time comes for very little outlay. Or get by with a combination of USB sticks and/or SD Cards and/or NAS.

I recently bought a Lenovo V330 for same price. Nominally much more powerful, but larger and clunkier with a poorer keyboard and screen (even though resolution is the same) and, subjectively, it feels slower, even in light usage,

It can be hard to say whether a laptop deal is hot or not without knowing the planned usage. In my case, portability and screen quality, 8GB RAM and having an SSD (any SSD!), make this a good choice at a fair price.

Also, I had to buy now to replace a laptop that was stolen and I really can't see anything better around right now for what I need. Happy to be advised otherwise - please add relevant links in comments.

For what it is worth I expect 1% through TopCashback. At time of posting, same spec 520s is available at same price direct from Lenovo (where there may be better cashback). I chose Box.co.uk as I can collect from them (and also easily return if need be) and have always been satisfied with them in the past.
