Looks like the RAM is soldered and single-channel on this, for anyone interested. That means that although the CPU is capable of Iris XE performance, you won't actually get it on this machine in its current configuration (as I understand it) and will get something that is a closer approximation to Intel UHD.

It's soldered, dual-channel. Why would you think it's single-channel - half the point of soldering it is to get the best performance and configuration:

The 45% NTSC killed it for me. Shame its not a good screen on a laptop that costs £600 when you get OLEDs for less and that is the thing you will be watching all the time.

Specs are solid otherwise for those who dont care about the screen. (edited)

Is the screen on this really that bad? The specs look really good otherwise

    They are good specs.

Looks like another laptop that shows the lie of windows laptops being better significantly better per pound than apple ones. I check these laptop deals for the fabled better than apple MacBook ones regularly thinking that there’s a significant price differential worth considering and I’m yet to see any. Before anyone gets annoyed at me for saying this realise I’m looking for one of them because I’d want to buy one. Well two actually.
