Display is IPS according to Currys business specs where it costs £598.99.

Seems that there is only one RAM slot (so no upgrade to 16GB or dual channel).
Anyone voting cold - could you perhaps share where you can get this cheaper or an alternative machine with either better specs for the same money or less money for the same specs? I'd be very interested to know!
Heat for the post its not for me but i think its a good deal if this is what you have a need for Thank you OP for your post .. as ever , scooter

True. Only one slot but why wouldn't you be able to swap it out for a 16GB stick of RAM?

Good youtube review here and seems possible to upgrade the RAM.

Heat from me, great specs for the price and a great alternative for anyone who missed the AO Asus deal.

Yes it really depends what you need. Clearly it's not for serious gamers (hence the cold votes) but that's reflected in the price. There seems to be quite a big demand for casual gaming machines or parents buying laptops as homework/gaming machines on a budget and I think this is a good option, particularly with the IPS display.

Good point. Assumed the 8gb was soldered, but looks like it can be swapped out.

I've done some research and the upgrade options are there but with some limitations. You can upgrade the RAM to a single 16gb stick but won't get the benefit of dual channel. There isn't a cable or bracket provided for an additional 2.5" SSD drive so the better option would be to swap the 128GB SSD M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe for a larger one.

A GTX 1650 is a good entry-level gaming card and this is a very good value find - especially as most laptops in this range are older 1050s.
Good find op. Anyone else struggling to find how to sign up for the 10% off? All I can find are the blackfriday and cyber monday codes which are expired.

It's down the bottom in the footer of each page I think. It says Stay Connected there's a field to enter your email address. It took about half an hour for the email to come through though.

Exactly. The 1650 outperforms a 1050ti and with a 9th gen i5 this is a very low price. It's even better value with the IPS display and the keyboard is even backlit!

9th gen i5 is a bit of a moot point, it’s still only quad-core but it is a solid spec and the 1650 is the highlight. I can’t find fault with this, it’s a great all round deal.
I was having a look at Amazon warehouse and for this money there were some used G3's with 1050 cards and 8th gen i5s. That was with the 20% off too!
Why are we sure this is IPS? The model is also available with a TN panel, and Lenovo tend to state if its an IPS panel.

The part number on the Lenovo website is 81LK001YUK which corresponds to this Lenovo spec sheet which states IPS.

Quidco says 6% for Ideapad sales which would easily take this under £500 if it pays out. I'm not sure it would because of the use of a code but would be nice!

Registering isn't the same as signing up for the newsletter though. Did you put your email in the 'Stay Connected' box at the bottom of the webpage?
There's a countdown clock on the site which has 13:30 hours remaining so I expect this deal will be available until midday tomorrow, stock permitting. Hopefully their email server will have cranked out the 10% code emails by then. It is painfully slow, just like their website.

Specs wise it is very good but it isn't made for gaming though. But for general-use/gaming this laptop is an amazing deal!
There's also some good reductions on accessories in the Lenovo store. Even better reductions if you can access the Lenovo education store.

Mine too. I guess that's the Ex VAT amount. The payout amount also shows as £17.40 which is 4% not 6%. I expect it will be declined anyway as the newsletter code will probably invalidate the cashback. If not then great but expected payout date 23rd July!

I'm still seeing stock available. I Just put one in the basket so maybe have another go.

Coming through from Quidco I typed l340 in the search box and the gaming laptop appears in a dropdown list then just follow that.

I think it's the website not linking to the products db reliably. It's a dreadful website for user experience. Watch out when saving items for later and putting them back in to the basket too. You might have to reapply the code even though it's active.
The price has gone up by £60 on the Lenovo education store but is still £579 on the regular store with about an hour remaining of the Cyber Monday pricing so be quick!
