This is the i5-9300 processor Model. looks to be the cheapest I can find it online and will probably be buying one for myself. Use the BLACKFRIDAY code to get the discount to knock the price down from £799.99. It has an IPS panel as well which is a bonus. 6% TCB or Quidco as well.

Thinkpad or bust with Lenovo. I would steer well clear of this.

Great deal though, hot

It was the big screen and the backlit keyboard that did it for me. Can you lmk why you would steer clear of ideapads ? I don't need it for gaming, just trying to find summat that seemed to be OK for my needs. - Cheers

Not a bad price if you need 17 inches. Looks like the 15 incher will drop sub £600 with the same spec (not live yet) but 128GB SSD is poor.

I bought our lass a 17" Z70 a while ago and it's been great. The bigger screen is definitely an improvement over my current Novatech 15.6" jobby.
The 15 inch one is 599 at Curry's if it helps

Looks like the 15" one is now covered by the code. Comes out at £595 for anyone that wants the smaller screen.
It's coming out at 579.99 without the code for me, if I use the code it's 595, odd

Great deal on the 15 for 580 though

Hahaha. just tried that myself and it did the same for me. Might be worth trying it without the code ??

On another note, my cashback on the 17" purchase tracked and I was eligible for the £10 bonus as well so ended up getting it for £635.99
Any recommendations for a Lenovo laptop or otherwise around £300 or so capable of minecraft & roblox etc...

Pretty much all of the Lenovo range apart from the high end Yogas and ThinkPad (X and T series) are Chinese garbage.

You can buy a helluva lot of preowned ThinkPad for this price. That will outperform and outlast it tenfold. That’s where I would put my money for sure.

I have a Lenovo 330, AMD model. It has a graphics card so will play most games at a good quality (I play Borderlands 2 and Payday 2 at high quality). I bought an adaptor from AliExpress so I could fit a hard drive in place of the cd drive, and it is super quick as I run Windows off the SSD and use the HDD for storage.

I got it from PC World while it was on special offer in February. I think there is a model at around that price point, but I have had no problems so far and recommend this model.

Well it did say only a few left when I bought mine but tbh I thought that was a ploy to get people in ! Glad I bought it when I did, although still haven't had confirmation of it being shipped yet which is a bit concerning.
Yes, 17" is out of stock, but 15" available lenovo.com/gb/…161.
Our lass just got the confirmation text off dhl that it's arriving on Monday
