Thanks updated.
I assume warranty from JL is longer than AO?
Looks tempting. Anyone know how it performs with Microsoft Office? Just need something light on the go for web browsing, emails, word and streaming videos.

I had the lesser 2GB RAM model and that was fine for Office and reasonable surfing assuming tabs were kept to a minimum. Was fine for video streaming including x265 / HEVC unless 10bit. Battery life was excellent on that model.
You'd pay probably £160+ for a similar spec ordered from China, so definitely worth the extra to get the warranty benefit.
shame screen isn't 1080p
Windows is good as a laptop but a disaster as a tablet in my view. Apps and mostly games are appoorling, I thought it would get better with the xbox integration but still miles behind...they really need to get better if they want to rival Google or apple.
Terrible screen resolution. Give me the 2Gb/32Gb version any day!
this or chuwi hi10?

wouldn't touch chuwi with a barge pole. Utter crap and no service.Still have vi10 ultimate but can't use it because sound and WiFi do not work (google vi10 WiFi problem, extremely common issue) . Chuwi doesn't care.

I wouldn't exactly say they're "miles behind" considering you can pretty much run any existing .exe file vs iOS and Android which requires a full mobile app being made or web app. That and the fact Microsoft, imo, are leading the way for tablets in 2016/17. Why can't I have a full desktop on my tablet?

iOS and Android on tablets were good back in 2013 and the years before it or so but we're in 2017, why are we in a world where tablets are simply diluted down? The Pixel C would be a great candidate for running full Chrome OS but Google decided stupidly not to. Same with the iPad Pro, if Apple got their finger out it would be perfect for running MacOS but again, they chose not too.

Few months ago, I bought a small £40 tablet running Windows 10. Intel Atom Z8350, 2GB RAM, 32GB SSD. I could run full Photoshop, I could run Steam and play Half-Life 2 I had a full version of Office. Granted in usual Windows fashion, battery life was poor but the point I'm making is, I can do so much more on a low-end Windows tablet than I could ever do on an Android tablet or iOS device.

Android has the advantage of OTG and so does Windows so file transferring to a regular thumb drive is out of the question.

We've finally got side-by-side apps in Android and iOS but it's taken this long to get that far. Windows has that built-in by default.

I'm not some Windows fan-boy here as I use an iMac on a regular basis and I have/had iPad(s) and Android tablets in the past but it's just... boring now.

Streaming videos - I know what that means
heat for a good all rounder.

I nearly bought one of these but ended up going with a similar spec Asus t100HA.( 2nd hand )

Good for:

- PS4 streaming
- Xbox Streaming
- PC streaming via moonlight chrome or Steam
- Kodi
- PS2 Emulator - i play R-type final and Rez frequently.

Battery life is great on the asus, not sure about the lenovo.

I was bored with my last android and ipad, they werent flexible enough to do all of above.

Appoorling. I've never seen such creative spelling. Not normally a 'Grammar Nazi' type (and that's not grammar, I know) but what remarkable invention!
Does anyone know if this will be able to run screen capturing if I wanted to recorded live streams like recording youtube for example? I won't be playing or recording games, I have a desktop for that, but I need a portable media device and specifically I need it to be able to record streamed TV.

If you can't notice the difference between 1080p and 1200x800 resolution on a 10" screen, maybe a trip to an optician would be a good idea...
Could somebody advise where the speakers are located?
Are they on the tablet? Where exactly? Thanks
How does this compare to a Linx 1010?
Got Chuwi Hi 12 for about £230, has Surface Pro 3 screen and dual boots to Windows 10 and Android and works flawlessly with no issues to sound or WI FI
Is this suitable as a main study PC for a university student?

Given the two at same price this is better buy by far, but wouldn't be huge upgrade. The extra ram probably more noticeable than the processor change

It's got a ten inch screen, on that basis alone I'd say no.

I've had a Chuwi Hi12 but cannot recommend it. The 12" screen is utterly gorgeous and having dual OS's comes in really handy sometimes. But, crap speakers, poor battery life in standby, no android updates and the microsd gave up the ghost on Win 10 after a few months and on android it only works intermittently. Well known fault with no fix from Chuwi. Various other minor bugs and irritations. Chuwi, Teclast and their like simply don't have the resources to develop and maintain their products to the standard we are used to in the west - xiaomi is an honourable exception. When on my travels, i always leave the flakey chinese stuff at home and take something totally dependable like my Nexus 9 and a bluetooth keyboard.

4 letter word and it begins with K... Don't know if it will be powerful enough to run it smoothly, however I'm going to buy to see how it performs. If it gets sluggish I'll get a refund, then wait for the Chuwi Surbook next month.
I bought the 2gb, 32gd storage at weekend for my son. For £150 from Currys. Great machine for the money, just what he needs for school work and to watch endless hours of YouTube

I've got a slightly different requirement.

How would it perform streaming youtube/video via the HDMI to a 40" LCD? Looking for something with wifi to connect to a garage gym tv. Any lag or stutter?

Was looking at the computer in a stick but on the face of things this may be better

I was about to query over the same ...

A Linx 1010b on the other hand is a more notable BEAST!, strong processor over that of the Linx 1010.

And the Linx 1010b compares more favourably like for like with the Lenovo MIIX's, then that of what the Linx 1010 does?.

Worth considering too I guess ...

Could not agree more.

Given the distance you sit from a laptop, you can suddenly tell the difference of FHD and non-FHD on a 10 inch screen. It is actually quite noticeable.

He thinks otherwise, he may has not tried himself.

are you for real?
you can't see the difference between 1080p and 1200x800 on 10 Inch screen?!
I suggest you book an appointment with optician ASAP.
because every single person can instantly see the difference.
