Sorry? I would like to know a product has recently been substantially cheaper, wouldn’t you?

This strikes me as a pointless, trolling comment...

This is slightly faster than a Ryzen 5 3500u plus supports wifi6.

amd always fail
If only this had thunderbolt on it... I'm going to hold on until CES see what happens, otherwise I'll go with a monster barebone computer instead of a thin and light lol
Proper 10th gen i5, 8gb ram, 1080p, SSD. It's got all the right bits. Also not too heavy.

Shame it's a TN screen but I can forgive that for the price.

Hot!

Edit: this HP has almost identical specs but is a bit cheaper and has an IPS screen. I'd go for the HP instead.

In what way? Laptop has been great for us so far.

Please don't give out incorrect information. Your deal is good, no need to bash AMD for no reason.

Well it’s £350 now without a time machine and has much better graphics with Vega 8 so I know what I’d buy.

2011 called and wants it’s joke back. Maybe you can take that hilarious time machine back to a time when AMD launched Bulldozer and no-one had made the joke then. Or maybe you can just DYOR and read up on Ryzen.
This one has the Intel G1 graphics, I would wait until you get one with G3 or G7. Another deal has just been posted with a 10th gen i7 and intel G7 graphics, most benchmarks have the G7 graphics at around 30% better than the Vega 8 in the Ryzen 3500u chipset
Does this have backlit keyboard?

Or a bit of banter in a comment section. Who knows.
beware of buying this if you need a decent length cable or you have a limited space around the socket.

The 3 pin plug end is massive and meant I had to pull my sofa out from the wall to plug it in. The cable itself is tiny and meant i sent it back - other comments on line about how crap the charger and its cable length are

Is this one of those 'wall wart' type plugs rather than an in-line brick? Probably because it's only a low-wattage unit.

Ryzens are slowly killing Intel in the CPU space, Intel are struggling to get beyond 10nm while AMD/GF are already at 7nm.

Roughly speaking, you get the same performance with a Ryzen vs the equivalent Intel chip at 50% of the price.

I wouldn't call that a failure, just because it's a competing deal to yours.

Lol competing deal
I dont get paid for posting deals so why do I care.

And in my experience they fail they over heat and destroy the board or desolder themselves or the GPU. Ryzens Are too new to calculate longevity but amd systems sold from 2005 to 2016 were notoriously prone to do this.

Intel do have the edge in mobile though and their graphics are catching up. Either way, competition is good and pre-Ryzen, I wouldn't even have looked at AMD but now, it's a tough choice.

My nephew got this as a belated Xmas present and the display looked very sharp. TN panels are not necessary bad.

It says anti glare in description, so does this have a matte screen or a glossy but 'anti glare' one?
Wouldn’t bite, it will be cheaper or you can get better for less. Able to get the big brother of this for not much more
No media drive in this one. Otherwise good.

yep it sure is - simply isnt long enough and is too big at the socket end - anyone who has sockets near the floor or skirting boards will probably struggle to get it plugged in

Intel have caught on on graphics with Ryzen on the 10th gen chipsets, particularly the i7/G7 chipset that we're seeing on cheap Lenovo laptops now. That blows the Ryzen 3500u out the water
