winchman do you have a retailer link please ? you mention it's 'also' at saveonlaptops, and laptopsdirect are selling it for the same price but with a higher delivery charge - if you could let us know the retailer name via the report link we can update and unexpire, thanks

* Thanks for the report, updated as requested.

This probably is a numpty question but is this deal better than this one here which has been posted before. I read the comments and the cash back has kind of put me off but am not sure which processor would be better (AMD Athlon II Neo or Intel Celeron Dual Core U3400)

I have been spending ages researching and keeping an eye on this great site for deals and even though I can wait a few more weeks I just want to get this purchase out the way as I'm getting a bit tired of looking at laptops.

I'm off around the world and decided to take a netbook/laptop to manage pics etc. At first I was set on a netbook but then felt that I would get frustrated with the performance of netbooks so started looking at other options and now am looking at this.

I am looking for something that has good battery, is tough and can take a few knocks, is light, ideally have a matte screen (I know these don't) and have good enough processing performance so I can check emails with outlook, have internet open with a few sites, have a photo app open for managing pics and even play some tunes in the background. If anyone on here has some advice about either these laptops or something else that will do the job then I will be very grateful. My budget is £300 but could stretch to £350 if there is something better.
