Yay my first post ^^

Just searching around for a new laptop and found this decently price Lenovo at John Lewis online store.

can't decedide to get this or a refurbish dell xps 15 (l502x) from ebay with 1080p screen for around £560.
ebay.co.uk/itm…cd9

(£20 knocked off if I collect in person, roughly 5miles away)

The Lenovo is New with a better graphic card over the dell Gt540m.
Both come with JBL speakers, though the dell has 2.1 i.e. a sub woofer.

also I don't think it has USB3.0 the Lenovo that is.

Any alternative within a £700 budgets would be helpful guys. (maybe 10% more if the price is right)

my req are a laptop with
a better screen than the standard 1366x768
around 15inch (no more than 17.3 inch though)
dedicated graphics (higher than a gt540m or gt630m would be nice)
USB3.0 would be good
possible a island style keyboard (as I think there easier to clean)

Hi 'Osaka' - I can't speak for the Lenovo but the XPS 15 full HD screen is really nice, speakers are decent and it does have USB3.0.

Looks like the Dell XPS deal from last night might have tempted you (despite no blu-ray and only 630m graphics); but you'd need at least 555m graphics to drive a 1080p screen on more demanding games.

Regarding this deal you might feel £699 was too much to have paid in a few weeks time as we may get more and better deals on sandybridge although it's always hard to find decent gaming laptops cheap.
