I have been looking at this piece of beauty for a few days now and this is the cheapest deal I could find for it. I am really posting this to gauge people's opinion about this laptop and also to know if any one has dealt with this company before as I have never heard of them..by the way I am expecting a lot of cold votes but never mind

a bit too much for Lenovo brand I guess...... not voting either way because the specs are good.

?? Lenovo's are some of the best made window's laptops out there.

I prefer an Apple at this price, Windows 8 too bad.

**** all wrong with Windows 8 when the new update comes out.

Is this a gaming laptop or one that's going for looks and style over spec? The hardware specs are a bit of a mish mash so for me it's cold. Lenovo are a reasonable brand though, not sure why some people are so fixated by Apple, don't get me wrong I've got 3 of their tablets in my house and use to repair Macs for a living but it's just a computer.

On the plus side you've got a high res screen, plenty of ram, high speed storage and very fast processor.

On the downside, the 128gb ssd is insufficient storage for most people these days. There will be no room for your music or photo collection or more than a few games.

Speaking about games, the Intel HD 4000 graphics makes this unsuitable as a gaming machine.

So what does this leave us with? A very fancy laptop for doing office work or stuff on the internet.

You could spend £300 to do that and save yourself £563. Cold.

It's not exactly just a laptop though is it.

Lol @ the apple deludes in here. This whips it. Hot

I've got one of these, and for specific uses - it can't be beaten. If you need to show presentations/lessons/work/pictures to others, then the "tent" mode is superb. It is a "convertible" laptop. So, if you want some thing that can be used as a tablet (albeit a bit chunky) and in one quick move, change to a proper laptop, then this one does it the best.
If you don't need those things, then it is a big premium to pay; but if you do, then the OP's listing has a PRICE that is much better than I got it for (although 4 months later). For that reason, I've tried to dish out some heat (although it seems like putting a hot water bottle in the freezer)...

This is a great convertible Ultrabook with a touch screen that can flip over to form a tablet. Now at 13" it makes for a big tablet but still useful. The screen is superb, far better than my sons Samsung series 7 laptop. Apart for the odd Windows 8 foibles the only real negative about this device is the fact the cooling fans run all the time. Although very quiet they are noticeable if in a quiet environment.

If you don't need the touch screen and convertible aspects then a 13" MacBook Air would be a better bet but otherwise this is a nice unit for the target audience.
