I had this. Several issues if you want to upgrade components:

1) Motherboard size is bespoke - somewhere between a micro atx and mini itx
2) even if you could find a mobo that fits, the case will not accept the I/O shield/backplate unless modded (the USB, ethernet etc are just cut out holes on the back of the case!
3) It uses a bespoke PSU without an on/off switch at the back. Since most PSU's have this, the trim on the back of the case bulges out unless you cut out a hole for the on/off switch. So PSU is hard to upgrade to a beefier model.
4) only the founders edition GPU's can be used for GPU upgrade - most GPU's don't fit into the chassis.
5) not much room inside for an upgraded cooler.

So my advice would be to only buy this if happy with the initial components - upgrade path of components is not straight forward and is an absolute pain.

Also Lenovo make the case look a lot smaller than it actually is. It's more like a half height mid-tower case. otherwise it's as wide and as fat as a mid-tower case.

So does anyone else think it looks like a deep fat fryer?

Cool looking case and form factor. With that said, I'm not too sure who this would suit; a 'hardcore' gamer would likely opt for more power in a larger form factor and someone who is looking for HTPC with some gaming prowess would ideally go for more of a 'sleeper' look.

I dunno the non hardcore gamers might eat this up. Should be pretty capable for most games (exc brand new AAA titles) on the market 1080p at high settings. The only thing I'd say it's lacking is an SSD and I bet you could fit one in somewhere quite easily.

This is more a small tower than any sort of Mini PC. It's larger than the majority of non-gaming desktop sold and twenty times the size of a normal Mini PC.

up to 35% reduced fat with this one
For this price the specs are decent for gaming up to full HD and even 2k.

If you have no desire to upgrade then this is a good deal.

From Lenovo's product page: "The C530 brings you epic performance in a compact size, plus everything you need for easy upgrading when the time comes. Know what you won’t need? Tools. This PC features a one-press, tool-free upgrade system, for ease of access"

whose dumb now? Does your mummy know you're using her laptop?

Personally I thought it was a great post. From someone who actually had the machine. There are too few posts like this. Often the OP just posts because it is cheap. With little consideration of the item itself.

Nah, Not that kind of snow machine, The kind that they use at kids "Frozen Parties" and winter weddings. No flakes are involved in those. But I suppose, you never claimed to be an expert in those puns

I'll allow it, just this one time, but please take notice of your warning. The "snow" from snow machines are just little clusters of foam and tiny bubbles and just look like snow, there are no flakes. But you're allowed this one slip up due to your ignorance of the scientific processes that occur within those machines.

But the bubbles and foam represent snowflakes. Thank you for allowing it and educating me thusly.

I'll LET IT GO now

You started the tangent!!

It'll be a HARD DRIVE to get things back on track. We should DISCuss a plan, but don't be too graphic. I'll MONITOR the progress, make sure it's not RIGged.

I'm well aware these are awful! Haha
Don't worry bro. You're taking these criticisms too hard.

You don't need to RAM it home. I actually feel that the original topic is lost and we are just prolonging a thread that prior to our involvement was in a fairly SOLID STATE. We should really HANG our heads in shame for turning what once a very STABLE thread into what I can only describe as a VIRUS to hotukdeals. (OK, I'll admit the Virus reference was very reaching)

@big_sausage for me this is a kind of feedback I want, much appreciated. I will be building an matx pc, after a lots of search I've crossed itx build off my list due to heat and space inside.
Your feedback is the best one I've read on this forum for a while and for me you deserve the best comment badge of the week.

I had a Silverstone Grandia a few years ago. It had space for a full atx motherboard and most graphics cards, plus the cooling wasn't too bad.

I'm not sure, you'd have to check. I have a 1060 6GB in mine, full size. It does fit most full size GPUs but they're tight. Check pcpartpicker for anyone with the set up you want
