As an overall value, I think this is not a bad configuration.
You have a 12th gen i7 with 3070 GPU and 16gigs RAM.
4 slots for ram, DDR5-4800 - dual-channel capable and can handle up to 128 GIGS
Should be decent for a next few years, I would say.
Code should apply automatically.

Tried this back out in September to replace my legion 3070 laptop.

Idle and gaming temperature is ridiculously high, even with water cooling. I bought for £950 at the time from Lenovo. Returned.

Could be my luck. Doesn’t hurt to test it. That’s my take on it. (edited)

CPU or gpu? These are normally well ventilated with plenty fans. And normally an aftermarket tower cooler.

I've got a T7i with 3070 ti, and that doesn't get particularly hot, compared to any other gaming PCs/Laptops I've had. I have had a T5 before too, and don't remember it being unusually hot whilst under load.

Decent for the specs but psu doesn’t look great

These normally come with at least 650w gold rated stuff. Should be just enough 😁

AWD-IT, Palicomp or PC Specialist have much better prices

If this exact config works for you it's cheaper than you can buy the parts currently and make it yourself with new components (according to a quick pc.partpicker comparison). However, having a 500W PSU in this build is bordering on criminal... That's right on the limit.

The 12700//3070 combination is not currently good value and so I'd be looking elsewhere personally (e.g.saving £50+ by opting for a 12600KF and saving ~£200 by opting for a comparable 6700XT (or saving slightly less for a 6750XT).

Same performance CPU, faster DDR5 RAM, CPU cooler that bests the NH-D15, better 850W PSU. £81 less (£1,109). Could go for an RX 6800 (£538) instead and it'll be £1,270. Of course one would have to build it themselves. (edited)

People loosing their minds over the PSU - I'm pretty sure it's incorrect (generic) description. I'm happy to eat my words but 500w is minimum that these T5 come with - 5600g/3060.The higher spec ones come with minimum 650w Gold rated units. I got my cousin to get the £1k deal with 5700g/6800xt and his came with 650w gold one. (edited)
