Just to remind, G-Sync is coming to Freesync monitors soon. Nvidia are doing tests on the monitors and certifying which are compatible while making others work later on.

I’m curious about this. Will try it on mine ASAP though alas I do not have one of the 12 out of 400 tested worthy of the title “gsync compatible”.

Here’s more on it, it won’t be happening next week or anything, but there is a list of pre certified monitors and they intend to do more. pcgamer.com/nvi…rs/

Just did a quick google search on this monitor, apparently alot of people experience frame skipping around 144hz, but it is smooth at 120hz. Comparing the issue to the hardware the people had, it seems that 100% of people with Nvidia GPUs will experience this, and people with old/lower end AMD cards will come across this problem too. Still unsure whether you need a higher spec AMD card or the monitor is just busted and you need to get lucky.
Why would they make this work on older cards? They want you to get the taste of gsync to get their new releases. Been playing games without gsync/freesync since 1990s. I think I can stay without it a few more years until my non gsync/freesync pc goes to pc heaven.
Will never purchase from these lot again after waiting 5 weeks for a monitor they never had to boost their turnover and then mass cancel in their new tax year! Has anyone actually had one delivered!

You mean they are adding free sync support

The article states freesync monitors will receive gsync. Don't know how you can misinterpret that.

Either way 12 out of 400 monitors isn't a good sign for current monitor owners.

I have my suspicions Nvidia will only test (allow) expensive monitors from companies who they have contracts with to enable gsync on.
