effectively my first deal posted hopefully not a terrible one

£599.99 normally, so of course its £699 on curry's website, but found this for £399,

Just bought this as a not bad deal for my 10 year old; as a fortnite/minecraft gaming pc. not the greatest system, but can transfer over his existing ssd easily, though beware careful enquiry reveals only 2 sata ports (though has one m2 ssd and one m2 wifi port too - can this second port be used for an m2 ssd too i wonder?)

specs listed :-
  • Processor Intel® Core™ i3-7100
  • Operating System Windows 10 Home (64 bit)
  • Memory 8GB (1 x 8GB DDR4)
  • Storage1TB HDD (7200 rpm)
  • Optical DriveDVD-RW
  • Warranty One year Depot or Carry-in
  • AC Adapter 280W
  • Graphics NVidia® GeForce GTX 1050Ti (4GB GDDR5)
  • Networking 802.11 AC 1x1 Wireless
  • Bluetooth Version 4.0
  • Keyboard USB Mouse & Keyboard

i opted for the optional £26 (ish) 3 year onsite, as i thought this was fairly cheap - though hope its not needed, have 2 super reliable lenovo laptops already

will probably upgrade the cpu, psu, gpu in a couple of years, but hopefully this'll do my boy ok in the meanwhile. i know that you can self build/wait for the next gen gear etc but it doesn't appear a bad spec overall - cheap and cheerful.

it was a pain to find the manual for it, will try to upload/provide a link in a minute

Careful of using the same screen for Tinder......
Waiting for the inevitable comments about some amazing PC parts picker build that will save you £3.59 or the usual ones about it not being able to play 4K even though I'd just put it through a 1080p TV or monitor. Don't also forget that it won't play this and that at 240fps as human eyes clearly need 240fps as starting point or "not as good as my 1080 with water cooling".

P.S. also forgot "could buy xbox one x/ PS4 pro for that".

Good price, but this must have been posted 4 times in the last couple of months
For anyone with questions, it looks like this has been discussed the (poo)out of in the last post.

OK machine which has been on this forum many times before. Decent specifications, especially for the price. GPU wont necessarily need to be updated for a while as the 1050ti is a decent GPU which even allows you to dabble in VR. So you can wait for the new Nvidia 11 series to appear then get yourself a bargain better spec'd Nvidia 10 series.

I don't see how you can use the M.2 Wifi port for storage but someone can correct me if I am wrong.

Good find, just ordered for my nephew as he plays Fortnite so this will be prefect for that.

Lol. Thanks for the tip.
This is good for the price. The 1050 Ti is a decent graphics card for 1050 gaming. The rest of the spec is ok for the price. It is the graphics card that makes it a good deal. Put is a cheap SSD and it will be enough for most users requirements
Looks decent this. :-)

Good deal, I think you'd find it difficult to build a similar spec from parts. The CPU, GFX and RAM would cost at least £340 on their own.
afaik you cant sue the 2nd m.2 port for anything other than wi-fi/BT .
Is 1050 gaming where you put gaffer tape across the side edge of the screen?
Apologies all, didn't realise it's been posted before. I did search for it on hukd and didn't see any postings that matched at all - had hide expired deals on, doh 😋

Inspiration is everywhere
Any good for Farming Simulator 19?
Ideal for a HTPC or e-sports/less demanding titles at 1080/60. Don’t consider purchasing if you’re looking for a proper gaming pc

It should play all games at low-med 60fps
I have a i5 4460, GTX 960 2gb, 8gb DDR3 2144hz from late 2015, I own 100s of games and I can play all games (even some VR games on low) at decent settings (well not Just Cause 3 and Batman Arkham Knight since they run horrible on all systems

Your CPU still has more cores even if it is older which is beneficial for most games now. The one in this build is still only a dual core. i’m sure this could not play games such as BF, PUBG or The Witcher 3 at 60fps. Could be wrong though.

seems to run 40-60 fps for the following based on this youtube benchmark, v similar system, though its does have 16gb ram

i3 7100 1050 ti 16gb ram benchmarks of 8 games on ultra/high settings

Games:
PUBG Grand Theft Auto V - 01:12
The Witcher 3 - 02:08
Project Cars - 03:20
Mass Effect Andromeda - 04:58
Fallout 4 - 06:14
Deus Ex Mankind Divided - 07:28
Far Cry Primal - 09:07

System: Windows 10 Intel i3 7100 3.9Ghz Asus GTX 1050 Ti 4Gb 1379/7008 Mhz 16Gb RAM

so i'd expect similar to the above on the posted deal, fingers crossed :-)

can it play crisis though.

can it play crisis though.

i read somewhere that it might struggle a little with a triple screen 4k setup on crisis 3 max settings - wonder if it would be the cpu or gpu that might bottleneck performance in this scenario

£899 one is very different spec to the OP, have expired the deal now as it seems OOS
If anyone has a link for something similar around same price I’d really appreciate it, need a system like this with a decent clock speed not bothered about heavy gaming etc
