I never said I was an expert? I was stating this processor is terrible... have you used the tablet yourself to disagree?

Maybe you should write to Microsoft, Toshiba and Lenovo with your words of wisdom.

Please post what their response is, I'd be keen to know!

Have you? Or even one with the current range of Atom processors?

Really it all depends what you intend to use it for. My Linx tablets are great devices for all round use except gaming. They are fine for pretty much anything on the Windows store, just don't expect to play the latest Call of Duty or Battlefield on them.

There are some things I have never tried on my Linx, such as video encoding but then why you would do that on a tablet is a more valid question than will the tablet cope with it. For general uses, I would recommend the Linx and given the specs of this are comparable to the Linx 10, I would recommend this tablet as well.

No but i read the reviews rather than listening to boyish comments

Really impressed with mine. Runs plenty fast enough for what I want it for. What do people expect for £150?! It a full HD touch screen tablet with a keyboard and touch pad.

dont need it
bought it anyway

Wouldn't touch Very with a very long pole, hopeless company to deal with.

Sorry to p on your bonfire but I got one of these a few weeks back from JL and there is nothing wrong with the tablet. It is an excellent buy for the money and where else can you get a tab with a 1920 x 1200 full HD resolution for £149.95. Plus of you want to use it as a laptop you can.

Note the version linked to above is the cheaper 1280x800 version
The 'HD' version is 1920x1200 and is £169.99 on Amazon from 3rd party sellers.

Just a heads up....I use my Asus T100 (Z3740) for all my video editing. I thought it would be horrible - but using Movie Maker, it simply never glitches or freezes. & when it comes to doing the final encoding (1080P), it does so at about 1.5x faster than real time. So my 5 minute 1080P videos render in about 3+ minutes.

I personally think these Atom chips are amazing -- especially given that I bought this tablet 2nd hand almost 2 years ago for £140. The only thing I'll upgrade to is an Atom X5 or X7 powered tablet

*Edit - I've just looked up the benchmarks, and the Z3740 is a fair bit more powerful than the 3735F, both in passmark score (1850 vs 1200) & in memory bandwidth (3x faster)....so my experience with video editing probably isn't representative of how the 3735F will perform!

Ignore everything jaydog69 ever says; I've ran into him a couple of times before and the guy is a complete and utter moron. He just posts to wind people up.

As for the deal, many thanks for sharing OP. Voted hot. The only thing putting me off is that it's non-returnable, so if it arrives and there's something screwy, then what? And they're not exactly reknowed for their excellent customer service... Which is why I'm hoping this come back in stock either at JL or Amazon. Yes it's more, but it's peace of mind.

Non-returnable? Is that even legal under DSR rules?!!

I returned a Linx 8 with a dodgy pixel at Christmas time. It took more than a month to get the refund (they blamed the slow post!), but I did get a refund eventually!

Awful company to deal with - so I'd personally recommend trying to see one in a store somewhere.

(P.S. - there are plenty of people on HUKD who are here just to aggravate others...so I completely understand what you are talking about there!)

I have no idea, but I'm not willing to take the risk and find out.

"Non returnable under our Approval Guarantee, once installed or connected. Your statutory rights are not affected. See Returns section in our Help pages for more information."

Edit: Just to add that I had a terrible experience with Very last month. It took me almost two months to get a refund. I was passed around from one person to the next. The problem was the item I'd returned then went back out for delivery for some reason, but not just that it was sent somewhere completely random, miles away from me. This happened three times, which caused the huge delay.

click and collect doesn't seem to be working for this item on very.

Their returns policy is in the form of a forum post, which really sums up why I dislike Very!!

They just feel like the kind of company that will try and hide behind legalese rather than do the right thing. However, the price is very good

take it that the keyboard on this is pretty poor right?

liger100

take it that the keyboard on this is pretty poor right?

I thought that when buying it. The keyboard is pretty good considering the cost. It doesn't have the feel that my macbook pro does but I didn't really buy it to do lots of typing. The keyboard is fine, mouse pad is not bad either although right click is better on a standard mouse. I think anyone would be impressed with the quality of the tab and keyboard.

Will this be upgradable to Windows 10?
Thanks

Companies CANNOT state items are non-returnable under distance selling regulations. They wouldn't have a leg to stand on in court. See the following link.
