I've been waiting ages for this and it's now in stock at Lenovo. This is basically the £1299 Microsoft Surface Pro 4 spec you can buy today but available for £899 shipped from Lenovo branded as a MIIX 700 which is a different product but very, very similar in aesthetics, design and spec.

Unless your really keen on buying the Surface Pro 4, this new MIIX 700 from Lenovo is a no brainer.

Spec:
- Intel Core m7-6Y75 Processor (1.20GHz 1866MHz 4MB) two CPU cores with Hyper-Threading clocked at 1.2 - 3.1 GHz
- Windows 10 Home 64
- 12.0" HD IPS LED 2160x1440 Resolution
- Integrated HD Graphics (HD Graphics 515 represents the "GT2" version of the Skylake GPU)
- 8.0GB Onboard LPDDR3 1866 MHz
- 256GB SSD SATA III
- Intel Wireless 8260(2x2AC) with BT4.1
- 4 Cell Li-Polymer (Up to 9 hours with standard battery)
- Advanced 3D Camera
- Detachable Folio Keyboard
- 0.8 kg (1.7 lb)
- Single stereo speaker
- 1x USB 3.0 and 1x USB 2.0 full size ports
- 1x Micro HDMI-out
- 1x microSD Card Reader
- Audio combo jack

it's Intel Core m7-6Y75, not i7 as stated in the title? For core m, Surface Pro 4 is actually cheaper. Does miix come with pen? can't find info about that anywhere on the website...

Sorry yes m7 not i7. I thought the Surface 4 had m7 too, my mistake.

I spoke to their online chat and it comes with a pen and keyboard case.

Does look really nice though. Especially the keyboard. But it being lower spec that a comparable Surface Pro 4, it's probably not as good a deal. How does the pen fare in comparison to the Surface Pen?

Not sure about the pen.

Cheapest Surface Pro 4 is £749 but has an m3 CPU, 128GB SSD and 4GB RAM only. Their i5 spec is the next one up of the Surface but still has the same RAM & SSD for £849 not to mention no pen or keyboard. So this MIIX 700 is a bit of a steal considering the beefier RAM & storage as well as the pen & keyboard included. I'm sure the Skylake based m7 CPU used isn't a slouch either.

Surface Pro does indeed come with a pen, but I agree £100 for a keyboard is way too much. We students get 10% discount at Microsoft Store so i5 version with a keyboard would be around the same price at this deal. Still, will probably wait for something else, can't really justify spending £800-900 for something that in 2 years will be considered outdated

I got the Surface Pro 4 i5 256gb for about £850 while i was in the states over the holiday and did really consider getting the MiiX instead but it hadn't been released. But now having used the surface pro and played with the MiiX i'd chose the surface pro anyday. The Surface also comes with Windows 10 Pro rather than Home version that comes with the MiiX

The Surface Pro 4 has been £750 at Amazon with the keyboard...several times

Nice but too expensive for an m series cpu imo, imagine will be far nearer the base surface pro 4 (m3) as opposed to the i5 and i7 models. Pen use should be better on the Surfaces too since they have a dedicated chip. Seems there's a few Surface Pro 4 copycats (HP, Dell, Lenovo) but none are offering a proper iCore CPU. pity.

I have just read some reviews of this including Techradar and ultrabookreview.com/831…00/ dated 11/1/16 both say its a Surface Pro 3 replica....that's a shame as the Pro 4 is now out...plus there are problems with the touchpad and no active pen support.

£899 is really expensive especially if the US price is $899....
