Now £469.99 - A few pounds cheaper than the last offer with code PLETHORA
      Use code - PLETHORA

This model has been cheaper before on an eBay code, although this still remains a really good price point for this. Prices elsewhere have come down a tad since, but are still around the £550 mark.

I believe the RAM on this one is soldered in , just in case you were wondering about that. It does come with the Active Pen, which is mentioned under the special features section.

Trying to think of reasons not to buy one at the moment. Will let you know how I get on

Hmmm, no not really, My MBP is 8gb and runs fine for what I use it for. For the overall cost I'd be happy with it. I use my main PC for anything hefty. For out and about though, this would do me just fine (For my uses)

Had to mention the RAM being soldered in though, as I do realise some people would want to know. I'd probably say 8GB was enough for most people. Not that I've run a survey

I've never really looked at a device like this but 8gb ram and an i5 could this be used gaming?

I've also got 8gb and also a power user, it should be fine for most things you will ever do. If you are maxing out this PC then you should be doing that workload on a proper big boy desktop anyway, such as gaming, software compiling, VMware, running databases, 3d modelling etc.

Depends on what gaming you have in mind. If you want to run the latest games then no. If you want to play older games or less demanding games then it'll probably be fine.
What was the earlier lower price?

If you play games like Dota/league/TFT etc you should be fine. As well as singe players like slay the spire and darkest dungeon etc.

Not going to play call of duty or overwatch very effectively.

How do you define "power user", because you sure as hell can't do after effects work with 8GB of ram.

If your doing after effects then you would probably not do it on this anyway.

I did provide rough examples so a person would get the gist of things, I didn't expect people would want specific examples!.

Not trying to argue whatsoever, but you only provided examples of things you shouldn't do on this laptop.

I think we have different definitions of "power user". I would usually attribute that to someone who plays games, edits videos and does CPU intensive tasks.

Just think it's worth pointing out to potential buyers that 8GB of ram would be pushing it for typical "power user" tasks.
Great device, I bought one from a deal last month.

Keyboard is solid and the pen seems pretty good too.

Mine replaced a Dell Venue Pro 11 and I’ve been very impressed with the quality, size and weight of this.

Hey Wonderlander. How's the build quality Vs the surface pro 6? Does it boot fast and navigate apps like Google Chrome, Netflix YouTube quickly?
      Thank you!

Not got a surface pro but quality i would say is great. Materials feel good and the whole device feels well put together.

Very snappy running standard windows apps or windows 10 apps

      Battery life is not good
Bought one on the july sale. It replaced a faulty surface pro 4.

I prefer the touch of the screen on the surface but that's probably because the miix was brand new

The screen on the miix looks much clearer and brighter

Only down side is the fan gets fairly loud, compared to the silent surface pro.

All in all great piece of kit for the money, 2 USB and a usb c.. need to work out what I need hdmi to usbc maybe to connect it to the TV?

      J
Have the M5 version of this which unlike the above comment is silent, great bit of kit, the only let down is the keyboard which regularly misses keys.

I don't think this is an issue as RAM is soldered on almost every single slim tablet PC like the Surface Pro or this. I'd say the CPU is outdated but then it's not such an issue for a tablet again - I'm still happy with a Surface Pro 3.
I don't seem to be able to get it for this price....showing as £549 after discount. :/

Make sure you’re using the voucher code.
Just a note that this model has been discontinued by Lenovo
Lenovo website says "The Miix 720 comes with a Thunderbolt™ 3 USB-C port—the revolutionary connection technology supporting high-res displays, high-performance data devices and fast charging. Hook up your Miix 720 to multiple displays*, then sync and backup at up to 40 Gbps—eight times the speed of USB 3.0! Now you can capture and edit multiple video streams in real time, or daisy-chain other devices to simplify your workflow."

      Noisy fans?
Anyone know how this compares to a Surface Go ? The Surface Pro's are too dear for my liking, and I was planning to get a Surface Go for general work and browsing duties while travelling.
This seems excellent value, albeit an older model.
      Got one for my son....
Bizarre. Ordered one. Order confirmed showing discount applied. But then realise I've been charged full amount. I query with retailer and they confirm I've been charged full amount because they are not responsible for eBay discount??? I question this a bit further and they say the discount only applies if transaction is made through eBay in its entirety. Ok. I confirm that of course the whole purchase was done through eBay. Don't get anywhere. Request refund. Just weird.

I got 2 emails - eBay showing the discount applied, then an invoice from the retailer showing the price without the discount. Havent seen transaction come up on credit card account yet...... fingers x'd.......(ninja)

sorry if it’s a silly question
Umm and ahh for ages but eventually went for it! Price and specs seems a good compromise over the surface pro 6.

eBay pays the full amount to the retailer so their invoice will always show full. eBay take the hit on the offers so charge you the lower amount. They get final listing fees from sellers that sell stuff, so make money there on things that wouldn't have sold as many without the offer

Surface pro 6 with a much faster i5 8th Gen Quad-Core /8GB and keyboard around £750. Much longer battery life and noiseless.
Guess you are 35-40% less and get the pen. Miix 520 was i5 8th gen...but compromised on screen and battery.
I will still go for the surface pro
6 as a classy device but was tempted by this.
I bought one of these when they were on offer before. I love it. It's powerful enough to run normal daily programs, has a high res screen for my photography and also has usb c which is a bonus as my work place has connectors so I don't need to bring a power adapter with me. Keyboard is also impressive and i can touch type it pretty well except for the silly positioning of shift and up being right next to each other. Seems to be a design during that time as my other laptop has the same frustrating design.
SSD can be upgraded on these. People are putting 1gb sticks in these. I might do this at some point.
Does it come with ms office ?
Just bought, looking forward to getting it! Thanks for the post
