I'd be very suspicious that this really is a "Lenovo" product, and would put even money that Lenovo don't know they are actually making these cases.

Not sure there's a massive market for this but the price delivered is fantastic especially for a branded product as you say plus a cable and mat. Heat.
Looks a bit better quality than some of the no-name Chinese ones.
Good price. I paid around £9 for an unbranded case from GB just a few weeks ago. But a spare always comes in handy. So have a little bit of heat.
You realise that this is just an enclosure and not a functioning backup hard drive?

Thanks, £4.66 with monzo
UASP is a must if using an ssd. USB 3.1 would have been nice. Good price tho.

Obviously, it's not listed as a complete drive
I despise that type of USB connection, would prefer USB C but for the money this will do. I have a few 1TB HDDs that would benefit from these

It's also listed on a few other websites such as banggood

Maybe but both sites are know to happily sell fake and copies of branded products.

Its probably fine as an enclosure, it will work as well as any other cheap external drive enclosure, but its far more likely to be a clone than a genuine Lenovo made product. If anyone can find it on a "real" Lenovo site and I'd be inclined to think it really is a Lenovo product.
I wish it came with a dual USB power booster. My TVs USB ports are just to weak to power my portable hard drives.

Also Lenovo aren't exactly worried about lending their name to a variety of crap products such as smartwatches such as the pitiful Watch 9.

Thanks
Thanks, ordered. I have no need for another one
I ordered three. I hope they’re not rubbish.
Do you think it really supports 9,5mm thick hard drive? The enclosure thickness is 12mm. Has anyone tried there the 9,5mm drive?

I think it does say enclosure!, And it's under a fiver, don't think they will throw in a drive for that price!

Same feeling. I do not think it is really Lenovo.
Also I do not think Lenovo makes hard drive enclosures. Anything online most likely is fake.

I would rather go with brands like Orico and Ugreen which I know they make those accessories, and they are decent quality.

12mm will support 9.5mm hard drive. Not the other way round.

It is basically telling the thickest hard drive the box can accommodate.

Some USB hubs can be powered externally, maybe you can find a cheap one.
Ordered two after understanding USAP

I mean yeah I knew it had UASP. Maybe I worded my post wrong.

Good that it has UASP as you definitely need that to make an ssd effective as an external drive.

It'll definately take BOTH SSD + HDD ...

Though of the laptop variant ONLY though (so NO desktop HDD's instead, basically?). :-)
