I reckon this is better than the NC10 with the 6 cell for £285 inc :whistling:

But I guess the real bargain is the 3 cell for £229

I prefer the style and design and the brand too

Great price!

fantastic price... excellent option for those who missed out on the asda deal or want a machine already with xp and the extra ram.

In addition to that here's a link to a 2GB DIMM from Crucial UK (note that it states its for the S10 series), which is going for £20.69p including free delivery by the look of it.

I played with a Samsung NC10 and liked it... given that they are about the same price if you compare the 6-cell battery models...(my friend got his NC10 for £293 from amazon a few months back)... isn't the screen on the NC10 better? I think it has an LED screen (rather than LCD) which is supposed to be much brighter and use less power giving longer battery life?

also: I've just read that Lenovo has 85%-size keyboard. The NC10 is almost full size - I think 95%?

OR if I customize the £229 one and add a 6 cell battery will I get a 3 cell and 6 cell for £290.00

is this as good as the nc10 been thinking about buying the nc10 but was waiting on a price drop or should i bite the bullet and go for this spec looks pretty decent

Best way to play this deal!

OP - Good spot. I haven't read any reviews but I would expect this to be one of the best 10" Netbooks. Certainly a nice price.

EDIT. Just read the review and have to change my opinion. Small keyboard. One of the reasons why I would choose a 10" netbook rather than 8.9" is to get a decent keybord, which is why I bought an Advent 4211 (MSI Wind). So not as good as the NC10 and comparable price with the 6 cell.

Great price - posted it some weeks ago from eBuyer for the regular price of 278.89 (now £249.99):

Best deal imo is the Tesco Dell Mini 9. Four hours battery life for under £200.

Use the coupon code "USBHDD" at checkout to get a 160gb Portable HDD for £19.75! (I haven't confirmed this works with the -£20 voucher code too though).

OP may want to check and add the code to the original deal if both codes work?

Is the white one the same price as the black one?

LED is awful for me, cant use them as they use "flashing" as a way to dim. Gives a lot of people headaches. Me included

yeh its a good price but is it a good netbook ?

"On paper it sounds like a beauty, but the reality is far more beastly. Despite its workmanlike allure, the Lenovo finds itself trampled by the opposition."

i think not!

I see a different screen resolution on the lenovo site ...

10.1 " WSVGA Glossy TFT with integrated camera 1024x576

or am I getting confused

was wondering this myself mate

Just ordered mine after registering on Lenovo site to get voucher code. Excellent price and good build. I am not fortunate enough to have a company laptop but those that do have Lenovo's which they rate better than their old Dell's. Battery life is not a problem as 3 hours is plenty for me.

not a flattering review:
battery life under two hours with wireless connected etc
might just hold out for a good deal on the nc10

The ]full review isn't so bad, & for ~£65 less, they'd be singing a different tune ;-)

Have checked, only lets you use one or the other. Good spot though

Looks like a great deal. Interesting that the Windows XP version is £21 less than the Linux version despite having twice the hard disk size! Shows that Windows XP has negative value.

Shame it doesn't have the Nub mouse like ThinkPads. I find the pad annoying getting touched accidently when trying to type.

xp or ubuntu?....mm. let me see.....

Have tried and only one eCoupon can be used.

i have the nc10 and love it...
only thing i MIGHT want which it doesnt have is the express port... other than that it is fantastic, and the battery is first class

Thanks, been after a netbook for a while and missed out on the Acer Aspire One Deals at Asda and Tesco

Glad I waited now, Just hoping it comes quicker than the 1-2 weeks advertised

The only reason I haven't ordered this yet is I want another colour other than black. Glad the post has helped some of you out

That extra £20 could pay for your 2GB ram upgrade though. I would rather wait, plus had lots of nightmares with ebuyer.
