I just want to acknowledge that I am NOT the one who discovered this deal, this has been the combined effort of many people (I'm not included). The reason why I am posting here is that I kept seeing other deals posted for Lenovo S8-50, which is not the best deal. I'm going to write down all the possible discounts, so sorry about the long winded post.

Very.co.uk is the better merchant (compared to Amazon, Currys, Isme and etc.) because you can claim the £30 cash back from Lenovo (https://lenovo-offers.com/tabletcashback) as well as get £30 further discount if you register a new credit account with Very (use code: 69HHD).

I hope the code still works, because I have already used it there is no way for me to check if the code still works. When I entered the code in it told me I can't use it twice, but didn't say it was invalid so I have high hopes But if it doesn't work, please let me know and I will edit the thread.

The full price at the moment is £129, so after discount it is £129 - 30 - 30 = £69

It was also pointed out that you can use TCB or quidco to get more cash back. TCB offers 7.35% cash back if you are a new registered user (http://www.topcashback.co.uk/very/). Quidco offers 7% (http://www.quidco.com/very/). Use whichever you like, TCB does offer a slightly more cash back.

So the price now should be:

£129 - 30 = 99 [Apply the £30 code on Very]
£99 * (1 - 0.0735) = 91.7235 = 91.73 (2dp) [7.35% Cash back from TCB]
£91.73 - 30 = 61.73 [Claim cash back from Lenovo]

If you want it delivered then you have to add £3.95, or receive it for free from a Collect+ location.

So final price is £61.73 (collect+) or 61.73 + 3.95 = £65.68

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some slightly annoyance with this tablet:
- Does not have the best software update support (Although it is scheduled for Android Lollipop update later this year)
- The battery drains rather quick considering the pretty big battery size

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As I said I did not find any of the above information, simply gathered them into one single thread to make it easier for people. So special thanks to:
- mats123 (finding the original deal)
- soza (for discount codes)
- Reading1800 (for TBC cash back)
- Anyone else I missed out

Your personal opinion or experiences aren't relevant to whether this deal is hot or not.
I have had many deals via very\isme using discount codes etc and never had 1 single issue with any of them.
This deals can be good if followed correctly.

isme is same group shop direct so you will be allowed to claim cash back from lenovo

I've had a £30 off £60 code sent to me, anything worth buying?

This was £99 delivered @ Collect+ location before any cashbacks/discounts as was sold out previously. Clearly, Very wasn't too happy with this hence price jumped up £30.

Have to agree with you, also the fact they use Yodel ...

Yeah, that was a really good price. It is probably the stock emptied too quickly, which make Very think there are huge demand for this product thus might as well make more profit from it by raising the price.

Love the fact the Isme deal posted got 350 ish hot votes, and it costs 99 after cash back. This is 35 pounds less and is -5 heat lol

7777777's comments are just as relevant as yours. If his comments are not relevant, then neither are yours, but I don't suppose you'll understand the point I'm making or you wouldn't have posted your comment in the first place.

After the cashback from Lenovo, it's a hot price for the spec there is atm. Got the yellow one for me Mum. Tempted to get another one for myself but at £129 for what Very is asking now. I'll sitting on the wall for a bit until they lower their price back to £99. Come on Very, do you want my money?

I'm not voting hot or cold. but if your after a tablet consider the nexus 7. similar spec to this. but with the nexus updates to the os. currently on lollypop 5.1.1. apparently they are super cheap at the moment.

His personal opinion and experiences are exactly relevant to whether he thinks it is a hit deal or otherwise. Your opinion however is wrong.

Turns out you can't use an MHL cable with it. I purchased one, and have returned it, still waiting on a confirmation that they've received the bloody thing let alone a refund.

Rather disappointed it doesn't support my 5Ghz WiFi, which both my old wikipad and Sero 7 Pro do but it's not the end of the world I guess.

In fact even connected to my G router barely 8ft away the WiFi reception drops from 4 bars to 1 constantly, when all my other devices maintain full bars, so this will be going back

I read that the signal bar might not reflect the actual connection, so tested it with speed test and compared to my moto g 2014 dual sim. with the s8 I get 9ms, 18Mbps, 0.9Mbps and with the Moto G I get 15ms, 15Mbps and 1.7Mbps and that's with both showing about full bars, so the upload speed is very bad on the S8.

My bad, speedtest connected to two different servers. Using the same one I got it up to 1.67Mbps on the S8.

Thanks for the heat, but if you read the whole thing I was saying the merchant offers better deal, NOT that Very is better than Amazon. Nothing beats Amazon Prime IMO.

Man this thing gets hot. Playing F-18 Carrier and the left of the tablet, both front and back, got almost hot enough to burn, certainly uncomfortable and I haven't even got it in a case yet. I can't imagine that heat is going to do the screen much good!
