Joggler 2 ?
What is the sound like on these? I have an Alexa in the bedroom but feel this would be more use as its also a clock.
I'm really liking this for the money - I have none of this sort of kit.
BUT from the videos it seems you need to have a mobile to set it up, is that really the case?
I did have Amazon one for a couple of days when they first came out, and you didnt need a phone for that to set up (I know they are different).
Can anyone offer some advice please?
£80 was always way overpriced for these. I think 50 should be rrp. I'll buy when 30, hopefully 9n black friday
Heat for the best picture out of the three postings this morning

As with all the Google Home stuff, you need to set it up via the app on a phone or tablet.

Thank you for the reply. I'll be getting an Amazon one instead then which you can still set up online, I literally only want it to do reminders for us.
I had a quick search for completely offline assistants - this looks very interesting, but not out yet sadly Sensory Voice Genie

Good price but not as good as the AO deal a while back with the Lenovo Smart Display ones for £47.

Imo google nest items are better quality than Amazon versions.

Thanks for the reply, and advice.
I won't be buying anything I have to be signed into on a mobile though. If I get the Amazon one, at least it can be on a dummy account via the web.

You only need to set it up with a phone /tablet initially, you don't have to keep it connected etc or use the phone to use this. Therefore, I guess you could set up a specific Google account for this, log onto that account on the app, set it up and then log out on the app?

That's a good idea, I didn't know it that you needn't have it connected all the time - presumably once it was all set up and you'd signed out it would still function?

Obviously the device stays connected to WiFi and the Google account, but as my Google speaker works for my family when I'm away from home, it shouldn't need the phone or tablet to remain connected to said account.
£79.99 for me?
