Really good price but Nest Hello has about 10 mins delay in the video stream, a google search has people saying the same from a few months back, if anyones thinking of using for the doorbell.

how similar is the Lenovo to the Google home hub

how similar is the Lenovo to the Google home hub

Lenovo designed for the bedroom. It is smaller and less feature rich. Essemtially you are comparing a Smart clock v a Smart Hub. Loadsa reviews comparing them. Google hub utilises the screen far more.

If you want basic functionality (Turn off the light / how long to get to work) in a smart clock then go for lenovo. Anything else, go for the Google.

Not very. Its a little clock, with some Google Assistant functionality. Read the Lenovo support forum to see what users are bothered by forums.lenovo.com/t5/…_en
The Google displays seem rock solid. Bilingual handling ain't that good, but otherwise its a good experience.
I don't get the impression that the third party products (like Lenovo) are anyone's favourite child.

But - Hey! Currys ask £80 for the clock on its own (really!), so its a 30 quid discount if you take the Mini as well. Alternatively, its £49 at Currys for the G2 Mini on its own, so the clock is free. Either way, it is a deal - just don't expect too much from the clock! Or to make a massive profit selling them on the bay...

This offer has been around since Christmas day. Set mine up on new year's day. Great smart alarm clock. Sets reminder and alarms. Controls lights and my heating. Also playing dab stations via tunein.

I had a Chumby one. Still do. To think the slide show travel info was a big wow back in the day
Got two on Black Friday Curry's deal for £39 and very happy with them.
I currently use an Alexa as an alarm clock and like how you can create routines to run. For instance in the morning we get a fact of the day, followed by the BBC news headlines and weather. That's usually enough to wake us up and get the lights on.

Can I do a similar thing with the LENOVO Smart Clock? We've got a few Chromecasts and a Google Home around the house so it makes sense to stay within the same "eco system" and ditch the Alexa.

I agree, the name 'Hot UK Dealers' would be much more appropriate when you think about it...

My google home hubs don't have any lag, only these clocks, maybe its something they need to fix.

If that's what you are looking for then you should be fine as it does that but it won't play YouTube of connect up to security cameras. It's literally a clock with Google home support. I'm really happy with mine but I knew what it was like when I ordered it.
That's a cracking deal. Can highly recommend both. The alarm clock is superb, especially the Sunrise feature.

Yes you can. The 'Good Morning' routine (swipe down on the Lenovo) does all that. The Google Home app routines are pretty good and does all the things you mention as default.

No problem, its a shame as otherwise i think the clock is really good.
I'm just going to ignore this deal as I'm running out of rooms to put these things in. Heat added though! Not sure I'd overly appreciate the Lenovo after getting used to a home hub either as I used the drop down menu on mine to control lights quite regularly.

Does anyone know if it's the same as the Google hub where you can see requested recipes on the screen if you ask google to show you?
How does this Smart Clock compare the the Google Home Hub? I've got the Hub and can't see much difference?
I bought one of these on a whim and immediately got buyers remorse, but I actually really like it Decent price.

I have both. Bought the Home Hub after being impressed by the Lenovo, which was too small to have as a photo frame (for me anyway).

So probably screen size is the biggest difference I suppose. The Lenovo also lacks the ability to play YouTube I think.

Ours only sends it to the Home Hub, not the Lenovo.

I way actually looking to put this in the bedroom as an actual clock, so not particularly bothered about YouTube.

Just don't want it to be laggy and lack the stock Google Assistant features
Which speaker is louder the Lenovo clock or the nest mini gen 2?
