Good screen and possibly speakers (if the tab 3 is anything to go by)

However the ram and OS are pretty woeful and it is no longer receiving any updates.

Not voting either way yet, but is this not the same one that's been sold for £100 at Argos on and off for the last year or two?

No, that's the A10-30 - which isn't Full HD.

This is the A10-70 (very confusing naming by Lenovo). That said, I ordered it for £140 ten months ago also. But tablet prices and specs have stagnated, and it remains a very good tablet for those not wanting to pay 'premium' prices.

Fair enough, thanks for clearing that up.

Absolutely love mine. Model number was confusing to buy a case for, but got there in the end. Excellent screen and a joy to watch movies on
Using one to write this , screen is excellent the only reason I haven't upgraded. I'm playing pubg on it and it runs fine, it is slowing down whilst surfing the net, there is an update available on mine but it says everything will be deleted during update so I haven't bothered.it says upgrade to android 6 marshmallow.

Mine too, decided to factory reset as there was nothing to lose. Starting a fresh and only adding what I really need it's back to working ok again. For now at least. It'll be a hard act to follow.
Was tempted to buy this a few months ago but ended up getting an Amazon Fire 10 HD instead, which is excellent, plus it was easy to put Android / Google Play Store on.

My son has this tablet. He has a bucket load of games and apps on it, no memory card installed. Nowhere near running out of memory yet.

So it's entirely down to each user. 16gb isn't enough for you clearly. Plenty of other people will be just fine with it.

I've been using a phone with 16GB of storage for a little while now till I get around to sending my phone for repair. 16GB doesn't seem anywhere near enough and now I'm having to remove apps I use infrequently to install more/updates. It's really frustrating and if I have to uninstall something Monday I guess I'll remember to call up about arranging the repair.
Seems decent spec I'd just like extra 2gb ram at this price.

Unless it's an iPhone.. open up the slot and insert a micro sd card. Also use a decent cleaner app. Phones can get quite clogged up with rubbish eating valuable space.

I've had a Lenovo Tab2 A10-70 for over 2 years, which I purchased from JL for £119. It's a great tablet although when it was running Android 5 Lollipop certain things didn't work too well, Dolby crashed every few days, etc.

The upgrade to Android 6 transformed performance it's smoother, faster, touch screen more responsive, Dolby doesn't crash anymore, wifi performs better, etc. Marshmallow also gives you the option to set up micro SD card as internal memory extending internal memory for apps.

After 2 years of daily use my Tab2 A10-70 is still performing well, battery life is excellent, fhd screen is great.
After my recent troubles with Lenovo I wouldn't buy their crap ever again.
I've had one of these for a couple of years now. I can't recommend it enough. These used to have a WiFi issue but an update fixed it. I'm using Android 6. I've never had it run slow because of the RAM and the screen is great.
I have this. Its great for films and general browsing. Have had for around a year now and no issues. Never tried it with many games, although the ones I have tried ran fine. I imagine it won't be able to keep up with more modern mobile games though.
Bought the £100 tabA for my mum, the 16gb and the odd crash is only issue 3 years on!

Why? Move to sd has been a part nod android since version 3 or 4 I believe.
Tablet with 2GB RAM in 2018 for GBP 130? Seriously?
Why is this getting heat? I picked this tablet up for around £100 a couple of years ago and it's heading towards relative obsolescence now so I wouldn't recommend buying a new one at this price. Cold.

It does not have 16Gb memory. It has 16GB storage. Also note it's "B" with a capital B.

Can you find a better tablet with a HD screen for less
I'm looking for one.
Such a shame Tesco stopped selling the HUDL
This is a wonderful tablet ... and a terrible price. These were regularly £120 or less in 2016, and I got mine for £90. For the price to go up £20 while the technology aged doesn't feel like much of a deal.

When you updated to marshmallow did it delete all your files as this is the only thing holding me back from updating.
If you just use around the house, its an excellent tablet. Be warned however, it won't receive any updates and the last security update is May 2017 so it isn't patched against the KRACK wifi vulnerability.

Yes it does. I backed up all data folders to my laptop, the apps were fresh installs from Google Play. But the upside is you get rid of all the crap you've collected and only reinstall apps you really need! It may be a bit of a pain but doesn't take too long to do.

I understood that the GPU on an android device uses some of the internal storage memory and not RAM which is dynamic memory used to run apps.

Agreed. The Hudl 2 specification and price point was amazing. Mine broke just a few weeks ago. Sound works but screen is black. Some photos on it I'd love to recover. Trying to figure out a way to get them back without spending a fortune. Don't want to fork out for a new screen then find it's not the screen
