This is a few years old now, coming out in April 2015.

It runs Android 5 (Lollipop) but no idea if it can be upgraded to a later version of Android.

Note the Lenovo Tab 4 10 (current model) sells for £149 and runs Nougat, a recent version of Android, so it may be a better bet.

I have just got Which Computing and they say the the Lenovo Tab 4 10 is a "top choice" (so not as good as a Samsung or Apple at more than twice the price but still a good buy). and they say it has a "crystal clear screen".

At Currys for £149.

Note there is also a Lenovo Tab 4 10 PLUS model with far better specs at £189.00

tab 4 plus have hd; 4gb of ram and a snapdragon processor. the tab 4 normal version 2gb of ram and a slightly slower snapdragon cpu
Superb quality but old tech Argos have them as Clearance
I have this and it's a capable enough tablet. the screens good and the battery life is decent. It's slightly beginning to show it's age though and AFAIK won't be getting any further Android updates.

if I was buying today, I would definitely spend the extra £40 on the 4Plus guilbert53's post links to.

I don't think you would be disappointed if you got this (it's by no means a bad tablet), but if you can stretch to the extra £40 I reckon you'd have a better experience with the plus - it's as good or higher spec in every department.

EDIT I keep saying £40 it's actually £50 of a difference.

Or this, if you're looking for a 10" tablet with a Full-HD screen.

The tab 4 is also 720p where as this one is 1080p. I have the tab 2 and it's still running beautifully I'm pretty sure it's on a newer version of android than 5 though.

Edit. Just checked and its android 6

I bought 4 of these back when they released and have all been rock solid. 1 for me an the rest for my kids, never had any issues with stability etc, all games seem to run fine although they dont play the latest blockbusters. Battery life is still really good, lasting a full day when the kids are off school and its a lazy day.

Lenovo has updated them to android 6.0, only issue/annoyance was the dolby app broke as soon as the tablets were updated. Overall though if you really can't stretch your budget to buy a Lenovo Tab 4 10 PLUS then this is still in my opinion a capable tablet.

I can't believe they are still selling this: this is ancient technology.

Originally it came with Android 4.4, and version 5.0 is already the upgrade, and the end of the line. It has a decent screen, but CPU, RAM and storage are substandard in comparison to modern systems.

I would not buy it. For now, most apps require Android 4.4, but I think they will soon move to Android 5.1, and then this tablet is too old. (And I think the specs are wrong: it does not have GPS.)

PS: It did actually get an upgrade to 6.0 recently, which was a bit of a surprise (with version 8 out, why did they still work on 6?).
