Couldn’t believe my luck.

Went to collect one of the Lenovo Tab 3 tablets previously shown here on HDUK for £49.99 but when I entered the reservation number in the self service machine and paid by card the price shows as £29.99!!

Thought this was a glitch, so tried again and full price of £49.99

Did a quick reservation again online and used the self service till and worked again for £29.99!

Tried at the tills with another reservation and came up as £49.99 so this is a glitch!

To get it for £29.99

Go online using the link and reserve for collection and opt to pay in store

Go to the self serve till and enter your reservation number

The price will come up as £29.99 so pay by card and collect

Enjoy your new cheap Lenovo goodness!

Remember, this ONLY works if you reserve online, opt to pay in store, then use the self serve machine in store.

Even at £29.99 I have no idea what this would be good for... 8GB …Even at £29.99 I have no idea what this would be good for... 8GB Storage/1GB Ram/Android 5 so no adaptive storage. This will fill up super quick and become a paperweight lol. Heat for the cheap price if you need it thou. Wonder if these would make a good smart remote for Hue etc...

Headless servers is a good example/use case. Quick access to SSH or a remote desktop client - it's one thing I mainly use my iPad for to control my Gen 8.

Streaming movies/music/photos from a Plex server.

Streaming tablet for Netflix.

As you say, smart-home tablet and it'd be great to integrate into a car, tether via wi-fi to your phone and use it as a in-car entertainment system.

Many uses, you just need to put your mind to it

I bought this Christmas 2016 for my granddaughter as a first tablet she was 4 she would have been better off with a potato it spends more time on charge. Pity anyone that ever paid full price for this!!

May the force be with you.
Pile of garbage but worth £30 if only for YouTube
Reserved one, I'll update on here once I've collected.

Thanks

Actiontiles. I have been looking at this for that reason and as a fancy screen for remote control in rooms. I used fire tablet for a mini smart-mirror project.
Ok for kids on YouKids
Seems like a similar spec to the 7" Fire tablet i got for a similar price. I too thought it would just sit there but its actually a pretty decent device for media consumption. Battery life is amazing. The 1GB ram is a pain, but for this price its pretty amazing what you get!

Quite handy when i need to RDP into machines too!
Looks like a good deal, however it appears Lenovo have a habit of not delivering operating system updates, which is a massive security issue.

TAB3 7 Essential (TB3-710F, TB3-710I)Android 5.x Lollipop No upgrade planned

This will be fine if you have a burner Google Account and just want to use the tablet as a head unit without browsing the web or installing tons of "freebie" applications. Sadly this will be hardly any of the people looking at this at its current price point.
The only news here is that OP was willing to pay £49.99 for an 8gb/1gb tablet in the first place!

I wouldn't pay £29.99 for it either!

As someone said earlier, it's a potato!
Anyone else got it plz ??

No one else seems to have got it. No proof of OP either.

Not bad for book dividers
Lenovo Tabs are usually comparable to Fire Tablets - that's basically the non-HD Fire 7 8Gb

Except it's slightly better because it's not running FireOS and you don't have to pay to remove the 'Amazon Offer' nonsense perhaps?

It's an eBook/light Web Browser/YouTube tablet and I imagine parents would LOVE em at £29 ;0
didn't work for me
4 year olds shouldnt be given tablets anyway. Go and get a refund and buy her some toys
