I'm almost certain this never happened, it did extremely briefly drop to £99.99 (sold out very quick) without the speaker. I'm certain it has never been that price with the speaker though.

I may be wrong about the speaker. But even at £99 was a great bargain for the tab alone!

Definitely, I bought my son this back before Christmas from Curry's for £149.99 (with the speaker). It seems a very well made tablet and runs better than I thought it would. Admittedly the speaker has never even been taken out the box, as I bought a case to protect the tablet. Which if you do that you have to take the tablet out the case to use the speaker. Too much messing about in my opinion, which is why they starting giving them away is my guess. I can't see many people wanting to buy the speaker individually.
Marvellous value we've got four 😙 😝

Interesting analysis all that, lol.

With your above in mind, I'm now curious, WHAT is that Lenovo speaker thing of their's good for?, or ...

(I'm assuming that both can easily work independently of each other, right? - so of what relevance is it of them both together, etc?), thanx.

Ps.

It's simply good for being an external speaker and stand for only the Lenovo Tab 4, which works with Amazon Alexa. That is about it, personally I prefer a standard bluetooth speaker (as mentioned before you have to take the tablet out of its case to use this speaker).
Other thing to watch out for with this is whilst it is advertised as 4G, you can't use the SIM to make calls, just data and SMS ... unless some bright spark knows otherwise...
Really tempted by this... but not sure I need or would even use a tablet!
I've had a Hudl 2 since launch and it's starting to pack in now, would this be a good replacement? I was having a look at the 10.5 galaxy tab but I was going to wait for it to come down more. Maybe a daft question but is this landscape only or can I use it portrait? Only reason I ask is all the pictures show it in landscape and the writing on the back is also that way. Is there anything better for £150/£200 range 10"? Help appreciated, thanks.

Well I've had my mind made up for me, just won a used Pixel C on eBay for £86. Happy with that!

I bought this combo for £139.99 in April and sold the speaker for £30 on eBay. Good tablet for the money.

Omg that's brilliant value!
Looks nice a bit of kit that. I'm considering!
I got this during the Xmas 149 deal. Tablet is great for my use case. Bedtime surfer and ebook reader. Speaker is fine but it's no Sonos. Now the mic on it in my experience is utter tosh. The dot in the other bedroom pics me up instead of this thing which is on the bedside drawers.

So great little package but if you are buying for the Alexa stuff think again.

Unless you need LTE tablet the price is fine, otherwise can find better tablet that price range
Edited by: "benasipro" 16th May
Speaker isn't great, as others have said. and this tablet is very, very slippery. glass back on it so you will need a cheap silicone case from eBay or something.
I already have one of these, breezes along after a couple of years. It has never received an update. Bought, but panicked when invoice showed full amount by email, but PayPal shows correct amount?
Originally they said it would get android 8.0 but they cancelled that some time ago. This also means security will be well out of date if you are worried about that kind of thing. Just a heads up but I use a different launcher so you couldn't tell the difference visually.
Still a great value 10 inch tablet

The Lenovo Tab 4 was at £99.99 at PC World and possibly Lenovo
This is the Lenovo Tab 4 Plus which has more memory / faster processor etc

Are you sure you're not confusing the two?
This will be a niche concern but please note that you simply cannot get Now TV to work on this tablet (something to do with the storage being incompatible with Now TV's DRM).

Same here, got for my wife at Xmas. A very good tablet, slim and very smooth for the price, got 30 quid for the speaker from cex at that time.

Ah, that's interesting. I managed it when I first bought this tablet but it stopped shortly thereafter. Having googled it my understanding is that the way the tablet formats an SD card as adopted storage means that Now TV views it as a rooted device and its DRM won't work in those circumstances. I guess I could factory reset the device and configure it differently but I can live without Now TV on the move (we use it for the little one in the car on long journeys) and can access the service via other screens in the house.
Any good for pubg
This is a fantastic tablet but the Alexa feature / voice recognition was very slow on the speaker accessory compared to my echo spot and with me already having a Google pixel C tablet... Decided to sell but great tab!

It's fine, only on lower settings, the frame rate is pretty good.
The Huawei T5 is better for that.
