Neighbour just got one as well, just before this answer to your comment and got order confirmation, I cannot link the exact model to choose as Lenovo has a naff setup in the cart, when did you try to buy one?

It is a let down. I know you can install SD cards. But with the price of memory so low it makes no sense.
Nice deal, it's still in stock in white. only a few left now hurry.

I'm sticking a £15 Samsung 64gb Evo Plus in mine
Nice find.
Have some heat
Correct me if i'm wrong, but the model for £204 isn't the Plus version i believe? Looking at the models on the page linked the one that says Plus is OOS?
I got the black version for £200 from JL just after Xmas. Nice thin tablet. It's had a few updates since then. Screen isn't as nice as my old 3rd gen iPad but still ok. If you're looking for a case, Amazon do a good one for <£10 (brand is Momor)
Oos now..
you've been waiting for this? just a cheap tablet, not a lifechanger
Do you think this Is this worth the extra £120 against Lenovo IdeaPad 320-14ast 14" Laptop - Grey. Looking for everyday laptop, no gaming

I have one of these tablets, just be aware of the SD card errors some of these Lenovo's suffer. I have a bad one that has chewed up 1 128gb card & 2 64gb cards with read errors which render the cards un useable. Personally I would stay well clear of Lenovo tabs as these type of errors are all over them. Lenovo customer support is pretty poor as well.
Was honestly going to finally pull the trigger at this price, but Im still put off by the fact that this cannot play Netflix at a HD resolution (reports show that it's less than 720p?!). Shame because otherwise this looks like a really nice tablet

I'm guessing these were SanDisk cards? I've had Samsung phones do the same with them, and think it's the cards, not the phone or tab to blame. Been fine with Samsung Evo cards.
If you must buy from the UK, this deal is pretty good, but the best spec'ed tablets are ones you buy from Chinese sites like Gearbest. The best tablet released at 200 quid or less in the last year was the Teclast Master T10 - outspecs this Lenovo in most respects (CPU is 6-core vs. 8-core but the Teclast can hit 2.1Ghz) and is much cheaper. Of course, you've got weeks to wait for it to turn up with the risk of import duty/VAT/handling charges too (still works out cheaper even with those!).

I really don't like the state of the Android tablet market at the moment - fingerprint sensors on the back (WTF?! The Teclast tablet does this too!), disastrous 4:3 aspect ratios and nothing better resolution wise than a 5.5 year old Nexus 10.
I'm using it right now, it has been great.

All 3 cards that my tablet ruined were different brands. Sandisk, Samsung & an other (cannot remember brand) SanDisk got replaced under warranty other 2 went in the bin. Really annoyed with Lenovo as they refuse to accept this as an issue & just bury there heads in the sand & offer nothing about it.
Looks decent, especially compared to the budget series from Samsung. Although a new device should really come with Android O, given that Android P is already being tested. (And 16 GB is very little storage, if you like to install a number of ads or download videos.)

Depends if you consider the alternatives on the market, for what these will be used for, to be a life changer!

I am quiet happy waiting for the chance to buy a £400+ tablet that I wanted since launch, that is £200, instead of a £800 tablet that is worth £1 and will not do a better Job, or should I say Jobs

Not sure how you consider this to be cheap either, the only model above it, is the LTE version, for £150+ more and it is the same spec apart from the extra ram, they still sell like hotcakes as soon as they are in stock. The reason I posted this, is Lenovo hardly ever have any stock of their own new kit, as they only normally sell them through argos and places, like that, for more.

This tablet is better than the Amazon Fire 10 tab
Fire 10 got less ram, worser processor and with no proper support for custom roms with Mediatek if you plan to keep it for years longer, worser locked down Amazon Fire OS compared to Lenovo near stock Android and not locked down heavily
Lenovo never update their OS.

For single core stuff like web browsing the Fire will be faster.
With this you get the extra 1GB Ram and GPS.

The £30 off deal on the Fire likely ends Monday.

Doesnt solve the issue of installing most apps. Cant move them to the sd card.
I just noticed the 16GB emmc.

That is like something from 2013 making this tablet fussy.
For that reason alone the Fire is the better value, even if the prices were close.

If it was in the headline it would be a minus 431 I imagine.

Depends if you live in 2004 and still use dial up!

Everything is up in the superdupermegadumpskycloud now, so who cares if its got 16gb, it only needs 4.5gb to work!

defensive mode over a 2bit kids tab
This compares the cores from this to the cores in the new Fire 10.
The maximum 300%+ speed increase for the Fire 10 cores only applies to integers and code running on a single core. It certainly results in far faster processes.

If you install the SD card as internal storage then plenty of room for Apps and any associated files.
I got the 8" version couple weeks ago, initially had 128GB SD as external but was too limiting so reinstalled as internal and great now.

Has anyone tried formatting the microSD card as adoptable storage? I have seen Samsung disable this feature in some of their models.
